OT: Orlando Timeshare Resort Falls Into Sinkhole

Recommended Posts

In 2010 I drove through there as we had done some shopping at the Publix in front of the development.  We were renting a house just down the road.  Just imagine if the sinkhole had opened up underneath the Publix, or under the interstate.  Or even worse, under Spaceship Earth!  Wow.  Everyone is very fortunate that no one was hurt, and that in the greater scheme of things it was just a timeshare building and not something much more disruptive.

Does anyone know if Disney does any kind of geological monitoring of the ground under their parks and resorts for this sort of thing?  Or if you even CAN monitor, or does it just one day, out of the blue, go kapoot?  Just imagine Bay Lake Tower or Toy Story Mania all of a sudden falling into a hole.

But would they then smell of pork because they use those underground passages to get the pork shank things to Gaston's which I've heard also sells a pseudo-cinnamon roll knock off.

Don't go back to the Fort smelling like pork in the late afternoon or evening hours.  The Fort bears may enjoy your scent.

Buns are those things that they serve at fast food and pretend they are pastries.  Nasty things reheated and then left sitting under a hot lamp until someone buys them.  Eww, shudder at the thought of them.
