  1. Had some strong storms come in late today and these have been washed away. Glad I got some pics before that happened.
  2. Slacking on this report. Been a crazy 2 days and am having issues again with my phone and pics so I will need to post pics later. Anyway....Sunday brought us a trip into the MK. We wanted to get on big thunder before it closed on monday for maintenance. We hit the park just a little after rope drop and got 2 rides in on big thunder and a ride in on splash mountain in about 30 minutes. There was virtually no wait for both of them until around 10am. We couldn't figure that out. Shortly after that the wife showed up and we took the little one on her very first ride at Disney.....the Bar
  3. Tinkerbell showed up sometime yesterday. Didn't get back until almost 3am and she was there. Checked this morning and no one was at the site. Wanted to find out how old she really is and if she is trying to get into a Disney animation studio. She has some amazing skills.
  4. Disregard this thread. Didn't see the other one on it before I posted it.
  5. Caught this article from our local news agency this morning. We were just talking a out the last hiatus last night while watching the parade http://nbc4i.com/2016/08/11/walt-disney-world-pulling-plug-on-electrical-parade/
  6. Were from Ohio. I am tainted by to many visits to the smokes. It is our go to when we can't take a bigger trip.
  7. So there is a group about 3 sites up with Michigan plates on their car. They have a young girl somewhere around 8-10 years old with some crazy chalk art skills. Was blown away watching her do these. To bad it just started raining and they will be gone shortly.
  8. You are seeing that correctly. The fence was down this morning and it was being put back up in the second pic.
  9. Gotta finish up day one...... So after checking in and getting setup, I had 2 things to attend to. First was the tickets. Some of you may remember late last week my ticket problem with my account. I was hoping there wouldn't be a continuation of that issue and surprisingly there wasn't. I actually got a little pirate booty (my version of pixie dust) with the tickets. My youngest is currently 3 but when I made the reservations almost 2 years ago we put 2 in there for her since we were supposed to do this trip way back when. Well sure enough Disney didn't update the age as the years we
  10. Well the rocks are in and the fence is going up. Still a lot of yellow vests standing around. Looks like a government job site to me.
  11. They are really big rocks. One of the workers told the guy in front of us that they were doing it for erosion control. Seems like they are full of cover ups this trip.
  12. Just hopped the boat to the MK to grab the monorail over to the poly for breakfast. They are dropping the stones down today. Sad to think back that as a kid we played in the water on the beach and now it is blocked off.
  13. No fencing along the canal by 1300. Just a few signs. The only fence I have seen by the canals so far was by the meadows. I was thinking he was luring me into the woods where the squirrels were going to eat me alive and feed the rest to the gators.
  14. originally we were still going there up until last weekend when the forecast was for rain every day. We had reservations for elkmont where there is no power/water and we were was not liking the rain idea. It has rained down here in Orlando bit the quick light showers are much more tolerable when we have AC and water/sewer.
  15. Ok going to start off the trip report while I still remember things. Have a bad habit of forgetting everything. We were packed up and headed out of central Ohio at 8am on Friday morning. Surprised we actually made it out at exactly 8am and not an hour later which is what normally happens. Here we are hooked up and ready to go. Got about an hour in and everyone had to hit the rest room so we pulled into a roadside rest right north of Cincinnati. This was the last place I grabbed a pic on Friday. After that it was a long drive to the Fort. Left 8am Friday morning and pulled into the
  16. Taking this thread slightly off topic but the cable spool is sitting on the road right about the tent camping area past 2000. There is a semi fresh trench most of the way up the side of the road with communications vaults in the ground. Somewhere around 2100 if I remember my ride correctly it cuts under the road from the other side towards 2100 and then runs under the walking path behind of 1100. From there it runs under the road and they are working on the next part which is behind of 1300 and almost directly behind our site. There is a large conduit spool sitting up beside of the meadows tra
  17. I stopped and poked around the outside of 2100 and don't see any poles with hotspots on them yet. I was checking out the hotspot in 1300 and 100 last night and I don't see anything like it in 2100. When I rode back past 2100 from the fiber spool, fort personnel was running someone on foot out of 2100. Not sure what they were looking at but it isn't much of a secret what it looks like at this point. I did follow the fiber line into the hole and it runs a ways up the road into ground vaults marked communications. If it isn't wifi feeds it has to be upgraded back end for the cable dis
  18. Just got to riding around and back past the 2000 loop there is a large spool of fiber optic cable in a spool feed trailer. My guess is that it is related to the coduid I saw them trenching earlier. I have a pic but having issues posting it. Will upload it later.
  19. I don't know if I misheard the guy in the meadows this morning that was working the cash register but he said something along the lines that they were going to be supporting DirecTV receivers so that people could get a feed from Disney and people wouldn't need to setup a dish. I don't think he knew what he was talking about to be honest. I take it with a grain of salt. Ryan
  20. Still have flags all over the place. So far I have seen 2 directional boring machines putting conduit under sidewalks today. One was behind of our site and boring towards the canal from the main road. Ryan
  21. They were doing something yesterday in the old comfort station on 2100. Not sure what but the maintenance guys were in there. Today the cable guys are there boring all through the campground. Ryan
  22. I was trying to get my fort fix a few times yesterday and I was not able to login either. Kept getting a server 500 error. Anyway we will be here until Sunday morning. Hope to get to meet you. Ryan
  23. Like that floor plan. At some point all campers will need work. I have not heard anything bad about Thor products from anyone other than dealers. Have personally had my Rockwood (forest river product) sit in the shop for 6 months waiting for parts to show up. It does really get under your skin. Glad you are doing some research on the repair side. A lot of people seem to overlook that. With the model you posted, I would be concerned about the fridge. It looks like it is in the slide. Do some research on fridge venting when the fridge is in the slide. Lot of issues with poor ventilation and
  24. That would be awesome. We are in 1325. We may go to the MK tomorrow but not sure yet. All of our sleep schedules are a messed up since we drove it strait from Ohio. Just got up from a long nap and I may take a stroll around the campground. Ryan
  25. WERE HERE!!!!!!! Waiting for our site to be vacated. Got some good pixie dust but will save that for the trip report. Ryan
