Getting excited. Both kids think we are going to this place called 6 Flags when we are really going to the Fort. Annual passes for the kids and I have been purchased. Since the wife isnt going this time we didnt pick one up for her. I was able to get the 13 month AP which i didnt think was being offered anymore. Glad to see that. Got fast passes for most things setup but still no mine train FP's available. Was hoping to see rivers of light but we will wait until November for that. Got a last minute ressie at Chef Mickeys at 8:30 one day which really sirprised me that it opened.

I-85 Collapse in Atlanta
rtguy007 replied to Travisma's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Any idea what the impact to 75 will be? With us heading down here in about a month I am starting to question if I should go 77 now. I prefer 75 but dont want to get into a mess in Atlanta. -

A very interesting article on Magic Bands
rtguy007 replied to bhall's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Am i the only one that noticed the white magic band in the picture? Never seen a white one before. Anyone seen one? -
Yep. It isnt all bad though. We atill enjoy disney regards of some of the stupid things they are doing these days.

We are planning on a week in May (would have bought 4 day passes) and 2 weeks at the end of November/beginning of December (would have purchased 8 or 10 day passes). If we get season passes, we will also push for a trip in march or may next year to get the most out of our passes.

Thanks for all of the help you guys. I really appreciate the clarification.

Ok i see the confusion now. Sorry about that. I meant would the renewal (or expiration) date be the day of first use or the day of purchase. Sorry about that. So going with what Carol said, i should purchase something like the 10 day through mousesavers and just upgrade the ticket after I use it once. Is that correct?
-
Also should have put this in there, this will be our first time with annual passes and. Ot renewals. Thats why I am having issues getting a good answer on when the actual start date is.

I am getting some conflicting information so I am turning to the fort fiends clan for help. Can someone help me clarify the following questions about annual passes? Does the renewal date match the day of purchase or the first day of use? Wanting to purchase them ahead of time to get fast passes but dont want to lose almost 2 months on the tickets if I purchase early. Is there anything special about the annual pass magic band other than the slider it comes with? Do you find the food discount is beneficial? Is the resport discount good on the cabins? Any help woul

Rv slide maintenance
rtguy007 replied to Bwithers13's topic in RV Repairs on the Road, at FW and Elsewhere
I spray mine on a rag and wipe on the exposed and non exposed side of the outside seals. To get the too one i get on the roof with the slide extended and lay down to get to the seal. Works well for us but we have a full walk on roof. Check to see if yours is walk on before trying to get up there and be safe while up there. -
I second the progressive. We use the same one and i wouldnt trust any other brand. They warranty is fantstic. It doesnt take much to install a hardwired one. I have done 2 of them. If you onow how to wire an outlet in a house you can install one of these. It takes about 5-10 minutes to wire in and maybe another 5-10 to mount it. Seriously this is a very easy self install if you are comfortable doing it. The beat part is everything is color coded so it is kind of hard to screw it up.

Nacole, I must be slackin. Dodnt know you actually bought a new rig. Knew you were looking. I wont provide any feedback on the bending of 30 to 50. However I will tell you that the hardwired option is much easier and provides security over the unit getting stolen. I have a progressive hw30c in my unit and love it. Dont have to mess with the cord and an adapter when using the ped. It makes life much easier. The remote module with display is eye opening. Cant tell you how many times that i glanced over to see we were operating under 120v. Sometimes as low as 108v and once 107v and it shut t

Where did you get the poster? That is awesome.

So what you are saying is that you don't want to pay $400 a night to stay in a polished dust bin with the free mold upgrade and a prime view? It sounds like they went all out with the free upgrades.

Axle Ratings...
rtguy007 replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
Well put. I don't know a lot of women that care to understand all of these things like Nacole does. Heck I know a lot of my male friends that don't care about this stuff either. As they say if it works who cares. Some people don't get a safety issue until they become the statistic. -
Thanks Ray. If we get down in May we would probably do a 3 day non hopper if it was just one trip this year. However we are scheduled for 2 weeks at thanksgiving and would probably pickup a 6 or 7 day with water park option so the annual pass starts to make sense on 2 trips. Now if I could only convince my wife to let me go down on my birthday in 2018.

Scooter rental suggestions?
rtguy007 replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Budget Board and Disney Discounts
We have used both Walker Mobility and Buena Vista Scooters. The scooters from Buena Vista were newer and more reliable. The one we got from Walker had to be swapped out 2 times while we were there for not charging and not turning on. Both companies were easy to work with but the convienience of Buena Vista at the fort was easier than waiting for the 2 hour window with Walker. Next time we may try Scooter bug if the prices are comparable or just use Buena Vista again. -
I remember a few of Carils post on this. I will dig them up and check them out. Thanks abyone else going to be there the week of 5/7-5/13?
