The orange busses are down because the path is blocked and they cant turn the bus around anywhere. They have a few disney transport vans running around. I will get the details but I know the 900-1300 loops do not have direct access to the settlement right now. You have to ise the vans to get from the loop to the outpost and then catch a bus there to the settlement. I am assuming the back loops are similar but you catch a bus at the settlement to get to the outpost. I will try and snap a picture of the sogn here shortly. So I was debating on doing a trip report but we are 2 days in and well, I got a lot going on already. Probably not a lot of pictures but a whole lot of interesting stuff. I thought the fort opened on November 19, 1971. We have been keeping an eye on that because we are planning to check in that day in 2021 when the fort officially turns 50. Am I wrong on that date?

Now that we are in a site and situated I was able to talk to one of the temporary van drivers. He said that the employees were told that the repairs wiuld be done in 3 days. Then he laughed. When I asked if it was going to be done before the holidays he saos he dodnt think it would. He said that there hs not been a lot of movement on the repairs.

WHAT THE FORT? I dont recall a thread about this but the main drag through the fort is torn out. From 600 to 800 there is no pavement and a few places are dug up. They have a few pumps running. Its a mess. Would hate to be the people camping near those pumps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree with TCD. Very few sites are bad. 800 and 900 are quiet and mostly private. We like 1200 and 1300 but may try and request 800 or 900 when we are down in a few weeks. Unsure yet because we really like a few sites in both 1200 and 1300 and we have a hard time straying from those loops.

We will be there as well. Cant wait. Hoping to make our 2018 thanksgiving ressies this weekend after payday.

Wow I step away for a few days and what looked like a dead thread exploded. I figured it was a fake because of the no fires at the campsites. I didnt think campfires were ever allowed at the Fort until recent times when you can have one but in an approved fire pit. I dont ever recall seeing a sign anywhere regarding putting out your fire but there is one on Ebay. Thats awesome. For what we pay for these units you would think things like this wouldnt happen. Glad to hear they took care of the issue out of warranty. We had an issue with the front cap on ours and they took care of it as well. We were still in warranty though. They had it for 6 months as the cap color was discontinued and they were able to get it custom ordered to match the original color.

Im not sure what is worse. The current interstate issue in Cincy or or the I85 mess in Atlanta.

Bypassing to 471 is a muh easier drive around cinci vs through it. Did it last time on our trip to the fort and I will never drive through downtown cinci again.

Went to book a week in August this morning and couldn't. There was a message on the reservation page saying reservations were unavailable due to a system update. No big deal. Got home tonight and went to book my week and got to the page you have to pay. Put everything in and got an error that my payment couldn't be processed with no error on the top. I have never heard of the one in Ohio and I have scoured the state looking for good places. And First Landing SP in Virginia Beach would not have been my first pick either. Other than the beach being right there we saw nothing else that would have drawn us to that location.

We purchased it once post trip after we relaized how much we used it (think you have like 10 days from the date the pics were taken to do this). For us it was worth it at the time and that was about a year ago. When we purchased our season passes back in May, well after our photopass expired, it somehow pulled all of our old pictures back into the portal. Thought that was odd for Disney.

If you are having issues getting bugs off the paint you can use a product that is sold in Harley shops called S-10. Spray it on and keep it lightly misted/wet for about 10-15 minutes (dont let it dry) and just wipe it off with a sponge when you are done. Quickest way I know of to address cleaning bugs off vs finding a way to pretreat to make them easy to come off. S-10 is made specifically for this purpose for Harleys and I used to use it all the time to get bugs off of the bike and my cars. It wont damage the finish.

I like 1325 and most of 1300 for that matter. Like1200 as well. I am not a fan of the idiots like most of you but our society has gotten so far out of hand it is sad.
