  1. Wow. I looked there first and still completely missed it. Thanks for the info, sorry for the bone head question.
  2. We recently got a sneek peek at Trader Sams Grog Grotto when we went down to the Christmas party last month. The wife and I were really excited about trying it out, but I don't see anywhere if children are allowed in. I know it's a bar of sorts, but do they have a place to sit and eat with kids or is it adults only? Thanks
  3. They had a precursor to these systems with the My Pal Mickey. It was a plush Mickey with electronic "guts" that would vibrate and talk when you got close to certain areas of the park. It would give ride line updates, tell jokes, it was pretty neat. Actually sometimes, a little too neat. (Ok Mick, give it a rest for a minute) Interactive things would be a great activity besides standing inline all day. Hopefully it works out!
  4. After you apply for the new one, it says there will be instructions that come with your replacement telling you what to do with the old one. I assume there will be a return label in the box to send it back.
  5. I just went the website the other day. The process was very simple, took maybe 5 minutes at most.
  6. Someone had previously posted this in the technical issues board, but it only had 25 views. Seeing as how almost 40 million extinguishers are involved it should probably get a little more attention. Apparently Kidde brand fire extinguishers with plastic handles are either failing to work, or are coming apart when discharged. Below is a link with info on the recall, and another to the page Kidde redirects you to if you have an affected extingusher. Stay safe! https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/kidde-recalls-fire-extinguishers-with-plastic-handles-due-to-failure-to-discharge-and
  7. Black Eye? They were so dirty when we were there a few weeks ago, how could you tell!? Ha!
  8. Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet or not, but Dollywood offers a deal where if you enter the park after 3pm, you can come back the next day for free. We took advantage of that this past summer when we went and you can really do a lot in the 5-6 hours you are there the first day. (Park closes around 9 pm) We were really glad we didn't spring for 2 day tickets. I think everyone above has pretty much covered it. We stay at Bear Cove Village if we stay in PF, and a place called Smoky Bear Campground in Cosby if we want to be out of the touristy parts of the area. It's a great part of the co
  9. Welcome! We'll be down in June too, maybe we'll run into each other and say hello. This really is a great place to get dependable info, and just chat about all things Fort Wilderness and Disney.
  10. Yep! I use it for trip planning a lot. Checking to see when and where to stop. And it's been accurate for me so far...
  11. I know the post I quoted is a year and a half old, but RV Parky is an awesome app, and it's also now available through Google Play. I've used it many times on my Samsung phone, and love it.
  12. I agree. Some just have nothing but negative comments, or responses to posts. I guess you get that everywhere though. I have to admit, I'm guilty of not being as active on here though. I'm from KY and only get to the fort once a year if that, so I really don't have a ton to contribute compared to those who frequent the place. I do ask questions when we are prepping for our trip, or when I have a valid comment, but I usually don't just comment for "post count". I do love this site. Thanks to the admin for the great job they do keeping it going. It's a labor of love I'm sure, but still lots of
  13. We enjoy the extra magic hours, but it always seems like half the rides, attractions and shops are closed. It's a little easier to move around, but still the same old wait to do anything. On the plus side we use the extra time to just enjoy the little nuances that we often miss fighting crowds and the clock.
  14. We have seen deer & turkey several times behind the meadow trading post. Close to the tennis courts.
  15. Thanks. We do have a young son, who is fascinated with rockets and wants to check out the Space center. He also wants to see the ocean, and loves huge machines, like cruise ships. Sounds like this place would be the perfect fit. Hopefully Irma didn't do too much damage. They are currently not taking reservations, and the park is only open on a limited basis. We'll see.
  16. Cave Country RV is about 5 minutes further away from the cave than Jellysyone, on the other side of the interstate. It has all pull through sites and the bath house was very nice, and notably clean. They cater more to an older Class A crowd, but we stayed in the 15' TT we had at the time.
  17. There was a post on here from 3 years ago about Jetty Park Campground in Port Canaveral. Does anyone have any recent experience at this park. We're thinking of heading down next year to spend a couple of nights and check out the space center. Thanks.
  18. Sorry I missed this. We go to Mammoth Cave often because it's close. Jellystone is about 15 minutes from the cave, and really close to 65. We have stayed at Singing Hills and Cave Country RV which were both really nice. They don't have the "toys" that Jellystone does though.
  19. Warren might still be a good option for you, he does more than just "Fort" signs. Here's a link to some of his stuff. http://www.flickr.com/photos/baylake/sets/72157625689035351/
  20. Do they still have some of those cabins they removed sitting around? There used to be several that could be seen from the monorail headed to Epcot. Hopefully they can just swap them out as an easy fix.
  21. Is this not a perk of Disney? I though if you stayed on property at one resort you were allowed to allowed go to pools, recreational activities at the other resorts as well. We've never done it, but have talked about doing just that on our next trip. As far as those just slipping in to take advantage of free (to them) amenities, that's just selfish people being selfish. I would venture to say that the amount of Disney security to prevent that would be seen as an unacceptable burden to most guests, and the Disney bottom line as well.
  22. Hey, all! Can someone send me Warren' s contact info. Want to get a sign for my wife as a gift. Thanks.
  23. Just the waiting 4 hours for it to do it's thing. We don't use the fresh water tank, but I still want to sanitize the water lines.
  24. As a general rule, how long would you let your camper sit before you sanitized the tanks? We don't get ours out as often as I'd like, and sometimes it's a couple months between trips. Its a bit of a drag having to earmark 4+ hours every time to sanitize. Although, admittedly less of a drag than dysentery! Thanks
