    Ugh.. these posts make me so sad.  We didn't have an annual pass last year, but purchased one this Spring (to start this Fall).  We have three trips currently planned including Thanksgiving and New Years.  I had also planned on two trips next year, but now I'm not so sure.

    Sigh...

    I'm so sorry. Please do not let my burn out color your future trips. I know lots of folks who recently went for the first time and they love it. It was hard for me to go back after losing Mama, but I ended up feeling fine being there because it brought back so many happy times we shared. Maybe that is part of my issue, it's not the same without her. I'm a Florida resident and have been going for multiple trips over many years and I'm sure that contributes. That and two bad crowd experiences back to back. I hope you and your family have a fantastic time on your trips!

    I think an old expression rings true for me. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but familiarity breeds contempt." For the first time in many years, I do not have an AP and do not plan on having one. The continuing "year of a million schemes," higher prices, lower quality and less service definitely made me lose my magic.

    I get a bit ocdish at times so I researched the cost of a 7 day trip to wdw in 2007 compared to 2017 during value season (Haha there are so few days now) to POR with dining plan and a 6 day MYW PH. I understand inflation, but the price has right at DOUBLED! And for that extra cost, you get less. I will post the details when I get back to my laptop.

    I'm sad that my happy place is gone. I have fantastic memories of our time there with Mama and friends. Even though I had a pass, I did not care enough to go see any of the new stuff. :( it's the end of an era for me.

    I loved the experience. They noticed Mama was cold so they brought her a cashmere shawl. The food was wonderful. Worth the money? Idk. To me, you're not paying just for the food, it's for the service and the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the experience. Do I feel a need to repeat? No, not at this time, but would for a real special occasion if it came up. I'm glad we did it with mama.

    If you want special V&As is the way to go. We've had good meals at all of your choices, but frankly, the ambience for a special meal is non existent because most people bring their tired children.

    V & As is crazy price wise, but it is special! The service is impeccable, you're not herded like cattle to the trough and best of all is the harpist!

    I wasn't going to say anything but before a million show up I think I should. 

    I took the liberty of ordering 6 and having them shipped c/o the Millers. They should get delivered tomorrow if all goes well. 

    It seemed wrong to me that they weren't there for the kids to learn and play with. 

    My Christmas present to the Fiends and the Fort.

  14. Citrus grove tours?

    Adam has always wanted to pick oranges/tour a grove  and since we will have a car and and won't have tickets for every day I thought maybe we can find some place? Any suggestions before I turn to google?

    I wish I knew! There are lots of groves in Lake County around Clermont. It's a nice area with hills and lakes and close to disney. I'll try to check around locally.

    Was planning to visit after we ate and when Rita said it was in 800 loop, turned off computer and ate with family. Circled 800 loop could not find group and then later found out it was in 2100 loop. We were in 2137 for supper, just around loop annd did not know it. So missed meeting everyone.

    I'm so sorry. That was me assuming and you know what that means. Please forgive me.
