  1. We've camped off-site recently because we went for a Bowl game and only had a month's notice during the busiest time of year (yep Christmas to New Year), and it's not THAT much cheaper, especially when you consider parking. We have an almost 3 year old this time and will do a break all but our AK day. We're not doing the dining plan because it doesn't save that much, and we'd rather eat at the RV, pack a lunch a few times, and do some splurge meals that I don't want to spend 2 dining credits on.
  2. What a fun first trip! Yes, there is always a Walmart or Camping World close by. You can't go to wrong with that in mind. If one doesn't exist, maybe start a packing thread for new campers. I know we learned a lot the first few trips.
  3. Or, I'll figure out how to post them after the shower on the 17th. :)
  4. We used about 30% bleach 70% water. I don't have any pictures on the web because they're for a friend's baby shower, but I could email someone else to post or PM me, and I'll email it to you. We also used stencils to sponge paint and added fabric glitter. Really cool stuff!
  5. If you're on pinterest, you've probably seen a craft where people use bleach in a spray bottle or bleach in a pen to create designs on t-shirts. I did it with a friend this weekend, and it was pretty easy. We had a couple of fails as we were experimenting, but most of what we did turned out great. Basically, you create stencils (we used a vinyl cutter), mix bleach and water in a spray bottle, and spray the design. I wish I new how to post pictures, so I could show what we did.
  6. We're in the RV lot on North Campus. It's between the Blind Pig and downtown. We form an awning tunnel with a dozen or so RVs, great group of folks. The university took it over this past season, so we're hoping they don't kick us out or make the price even more crazy. Yeah, I'd like to forget that game too, especially because my Gamecock cousin was there to rub it in.
  7. Oh yeah, I should have just said I'm curious and interested for fun. I grew up in Longwood (very close to Disney), so I've been a million times. That said, it's awesome to see it in our kids' eyes. I'm all about afternoon breaks and rest days though, especially with a little one. I could see going for a bit and doing very little in the parks or mixing it up. I also find it interesting that although I stayed at many Disney resorts as a kid, the ONLY one I remember is staying at the Fort.
  8. Just seeing this but love it! It makes me so excited for our trip. DS will turn 3 the day before we come, so I see similarities in him and your CUTE, CUTE daughters. I totally agree with you about people giving up seats for people holding kids. Jerks! Awesome pictures. I feel like I'm there. PS- I see you're a Dawg! Do you guys ever tailgate in Athens? We're season ticket holders and LOVE the RV lot.
  9. Just curious, how long is your average stay at the Fort and how many days do you visit the parks while you are there? We're staying 8 nights and will go to the parks 5 days.
  10. Debating on riding this on our April trip since it will be gone next time. I don't LOVE it and am afraid it will scare the crap out of DS who will have just turned 3. I don't want it to make him afraid of other rides.
  11. We're excited. Before I found him through you guys, a cart was not in our budget.
  12. What time of day does he deliver, or is that up to us?
  13. I know that the ones in the Magic Kingdom do not. I didn't check any others.
  14. I do exactly what Monique said. I can never get my slices as uniform and thin as the butcher, so I'd go that route. It's fun to play with different marinakes. Actually, I haven't done it in awhile, and now I want some!
  15. I've also heard the idea that you will get a certain number of FP loaded on your ticket if you stay on property, more for deluxe vs. value.
  16. Pinterest is the devil! It convinced me to make homemade Valentines for my son's class. Love it though!
  17. TCD I agree it's overpriced, but we have a will be 3 year old who loves Mickey, dancing, and cowboys. I figure we'll be saving money eating at the RV a good bit. Plus, at least there's unlimited booze! Judy, that's the boat we're in. He can't sit still for the HDDR this year. Soon though!
