  1. Well that's the wrong picture. That's what I get for trying to be fancy and post from my phone.
  2. Here you go TCD... Still flying a yellow flag but rough and you can see the seaweed. You camp at Grayton Beach, right? How hard is it to get in? Do you stay on a full hook up site? We're going to venture over there while we're here.
  3. There's a fair amount of seaweed, some days more than others. The ocean has been calm but is rough today. Now that I can upload to photobucket on my phone, I'll try to post a picture.
  4. I'll post more pics and should mention a few things for those interested in camping here... It's a FL state park, and I think it's $42 a night for the RV sites and you have sewer hook up. The beach isn't right next to the site, so you have to ride a bike or take the hourly tram.
  5. I'm probably late posting this and haven't camped at this exact campground on Lanier, but we live there and have a boat on Lanier. We always beach our boat at our campsite. Not all sites are able due to water depth but I'm sure you could call and ask. Our favorite campground on Lanier is Bald Ridge.
  6. Thanks for sharing! I live in GA now but grew up near Apopka, and I've never camped there. I'm going to have to add it to my list. I wonder how long it will be closed.
  7. We're here! We arrived Saturday around noon and were lucky that our site was empty, so we got to come in early. I figure I'll post some pictures of our trip for others interested in camping here in the future or those who already love Topsail. This is our "beach house" for the next two weeks. We love that the sites are shaded and fairly private. The pads aren't as big as the premium sites at the fort, but they're pretty big. One of the best things about Topsail is the beach! There aren't many places in FL we've been to where you see this along the beach instead of high-rise hotels. I have t
  8. We didn't have a cord because we didn't know to bring one, but we did have a premium site, so the plug was just off the pad. I'm not sure if it's like that on all of them though.
  9. I got my CD today! Less than $20 for 150 pictures, so it was well worth it. The lady who ran it even sorted them by family and only sent our own. Loving reliving the vacation 6 weeks later!
  10. Maybe the movie in France is what they're talking about. I've been during that time, but it was only DH and me. We had reasonable expectations, got up early, and left the parks before dinner. If you want to eat any TS meals, make ADRs for sure. Our trip was last minute, so we didn't have any, so we could only eat at CS because there were no TS available.
  11. Because I'm a teacher, we always have to go during peak times, so I do plan which parks to go to, and I plan the first rides we'll do. To me, it's worth it to not wait in line. We were there during Spring Break and never spent more than 15 minutes in line. That said, after a couple of hours and especially in the evenings, we go with the flow. I find it's a good balance for us. I agree with TCD about utilizing FPs. It allows you to do all/most of the big attractions with pretty much no wait, and you can fill in the smaller attractions in between. So worth it!
  12. What I want to know is... who can get the pictures the CMs took from the ladders? Connections anyone? They looked so cool. We got to see them make them as well, and they had bags of candy sorted by color that they "painted" with.
  13. I'm going to sue. Parent swap isn't good enough for me. I want a babysitter to keep my kid while we ride the rides he's too short for.
  14. And idea that won't work for everyone and doesn't work for us now... We had a Cougar TT that had storage under the back corner bunk that could be accessed from the outside storage door. The guy who owned it before us bought a cabinet door and added access from the inside. So, that was our storage area for shoes. We miss it.
