No, you cannot use a a cart there nor can you ride it to the beach. There are 3 ways to get to the beach - tram, bike or walk. Topsail is DEFINITELY worth the drive. Like you, we compare everything to the Fort as well ...but we really use FW and Topsail as our benchmarks. We stay there every summer and sometimes manage to get down there more than once.

Stef, she LOVES her chucks. She has a pair of pink hightops too. I don't think I got a picture of it, but she took her jeans off and put shorts on under that shirt/dress. It went down to her knees. Haha.

Thurs, 12/22 5:30am sucks pretty bad Monday through Friday at home. It doesn't suck at ALL at WDW. :) We were waiting for the ferry at 6:30am. EMH started at MK at 7am. We've never been to a park that early. It was still dark outside when we were waiting to get in. We ALWAYS to one EMH morning at MK. We all just love the rope drop ceremony. It is a must do for us. We get in and make a bee-line for Space Mountain...and so does everyone else! We ride it and grab FP's for later in the day. We ride the Peoplemover. What is it about this ride?? Ok.....closing out Weds, 12/21. We grilled dinner and just relaxed for the evening. Then we decided to start touring some loops in the campground. I took my camera and took some pictures, unfortunately they mostly SUCK so for the real deal, please see TCD's report. We were in the 500 loop, as you know....and we started our tour there. From there, we hit 300. Next was 400, then 100/200. We spent a TON of time at Fiesty's site. What an amazing set up she has. The security person there at the sidewalk beside her site and the Settlement was really enjoying talking to other guests about her set up.

Well, for me, Doodle....I don't like being in a pool when it's cool outside. 72 is NICE when you're trolling the parks, but it's not warm enough for the pool for me. But....the weather was so freakin spectacular the WHOLE time we were there that it was a shame to leave it behind. Thanks Kim. She loves that kiddie pool and the water in that place should have icebergs. BURRRR!!! You know, Rita....normally when we go, we'll take one "down" day and do nothing - but nothing means no parks. Maddie and I normally hit DTD that day. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice to have more than one day to just chill

We were at Disney the same time; I see your sign in front of the count down calendar thing over by Santa. We took our daughter's picture there with 7 days to go!! :)

Welcome!!! We loved Cinderella's Royal Table at MK. I think that's been our favorite meal at WDW ever. Our other faves are: 50's Prime Time Cafe @ DHS (ask for Uncle Dale's section) Whispering Canyon @ WL Liberty Tree Tavern @ MK Chef Mickey's @ Contemporary T-Rex at DTD is fun but I don't know if it's on DDP. Enjoy!

Adventure Bound?? I love Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. That sounds cool. :) I am working on Mem Day weekend too (I grew up in Stone Mtn and it's only an hour from where I live now) but have some commitments. Hoping to get there!

Well, after we decided against heading to WDW for MLK weekend, we are booked for Prez Day weekend. We're staying at Coronado Springs. Never stayed there before... Today, we booked James Island campground in SC for July 4-8. We've had Topsail Hill in FL on the books for a few months now, going in late July. At least I have some trips to look forward to....

Great, great updates! Thank you! Can't wait for the December trip update. We did our first cruise one year ago this week. I just loved St. Maarten!! We considered doing the excursion that you guys did, but we actually did a four wheeler tour of the island. It was AWESOME. :) Congrats again!!

I'm not an expert here either....wish I had something inspiring to say. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that you and your children have a great trip. Do whatever you are comfortable with and pace yourself. It sounds like you have so many amazing memories and it's such a blessing that you have the chance to make many more. She's looking down on all of you and she wants you to be happy. I, too, like the idea of a new ritual. :) Safe travels. You'll be in our prayers.

Alright.....I'm back. To conclude Tues, 12/20, we stayed behind and watched the holiday version of Illuminations. These are Hubs favorite fireworks show. I think they are pretty incredible, but I prefer Wishes. He gets leaky headed during Illuminations. Don't ever tell him I told you that - there is a back story that maybe I'll share someday. The holiday show was pretty freakin wonderful!!! Well worth the stay around the backside of World Showcase and the haul back to the front gate at the end.
