  1. OH NO!!!!!!!! I can't believe this report is ending soon. BUMMER! Love the pink champagne. And I've never seen the beach that crowded. WOW. My Maddie would have loved the dance party......
  2. I've never felt a vibration in the 500 loop. I'd say that your air/heat should drown out the noise or as other Fiends have indicated, you can leave a radio or TV on. We've done that and it seems to work just fine. :)
  3. Wonderful report, Julia! Sounds like you guys had a wonderful trip - and that's what matters. Welcome here and congratulations on your engagement. Sounds like a pretty magical time for you and DF!
  4. WBI and CP ~ first things first. Congratulations! I wish you both the best in life and in love. Your wedding pictures are breath taking. I must say, your list had me at HELLO! It mentions my two favorite places in this world: 1. Seaside! 2. Disney! We go to South Walton county every year for our beach vacation. Our daughter (she's 7) calls it "the camping beach". We stay at Topsail Hill in Santa Rosa Beach. If you've never stayed there....I highly recommend it. I take an afternoon on every trip and go over to Seaside by myself. It's really my time. I go to Sun Dog and buy a couple of books, w
  5. Thanks everyone!!! Deb - you are so right about Silent Night. O Holy Night made the hair on my arms stand up. But close to the end when they did Halllelujah....I was DONE. :)
  6. Tues, 12/20 Well, after a late night on Sunday and a full day on Monday, we decided to sleep in on Tuesday. And for me, sleeping in is 7:15am. Madeline woke up around 8 and Hubs woke up around 10. None of us can remember the last time he slept that late but then again, I can't remember the last time I slept past 8. Tuesday was the first day I really felt GOOD. I didn't feel achy, nose wasn't running, throat didn't hurt. I woke up and felt like a new person. That was nice. We enjoyed a light late breakfast and just hung around the camper. We had plans for the Candlelight Processional that eveni
  7. OMG! Dave - I just had a flashback.....and I think I am recalling some issues you have with Snow White. Wasn't it you on the other board who's avatar was a picture of SW being arrested?? If so....I rememeber showing that picture to Hubs and us both having a good laugh over that.
  8. This is an awesome TR! I love the pictures - your girls are beautiful and I love their Yeti hats. My daughter (who is 7) has a Yeti ball cap from when she rode EE but she has a winter cap like that one....and it's Perry the Platypus! (i stole it from her, but don't tell her) I must say...I am a teeny but jealous of your gorgeous Class A with bunks. When I grow up, that's the kind of camper I want. But then again...by the time I grow up, I won't have a need for bunks anymore cuz the Princess will be grown. Anywho, I am so glad you guys had a wonderful time. The Fort is such a special place and
  9. Oh.My.Goodness. I do believe that these are the best fireworks pictures I have ever seen (yes, even better than my own). They are all SO good and I especially love how they reflect off the water. GOOD JOB TCD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and TCD Twin #1)
  10. Sitting in my office laughing LOUDLY at your non-trip to Sea World! That made me giggly. And your tease about the dude rolling his RV into the canal - I almost forwarded that to Hubs. Then I kept reading. Your TR's rock but more than that, your attention to detail is amazing. For the record, the marshmallow ornament on the door at TE.....I have one of those ornaments! But ours has the marshmallow dude with his s'more sticks and a little RV and it has a little sign that says "I love my RV". :-)
  11. I am glad you are enjoying the TR. And I am glad you can concentrate on at least one thing. That gives me hope....
  12. Yeah, Donald and Scrooge. It sucked. Big time. Here's what I learned about the site decorating contest. Had to ask around as it was not mentioned while we were at the Fort. I asked on the "I Love Camping At Fort Disney's Fort Wilderness" Facebook page who won. I was eventually told that site 1206 came in second and "the 1600 loop contestant won 1st place". Wonder what's with all the secrecy? Is it a conspiracy theory???
  13. As for the characters that were at Crockett's Tavern...it was Donald and Scrooge. Somewhat of a let down; I was hoping for at least Mickey in his Christmas finest. We raced back from our dinner at MK so we wouldn't miss the characters at the Fort!
  14. Aww, thanks TCD. Doing this report is so much fun, especially since I get to relive the trip. It's also cool to share it with folks that appreciate it as much as I do. Yeah, I could never deny that Hubs is her daddy (not that there is a reason to). She does have some of my features but for the most part, I was simply an incubator for 40 weeks. And no worries! I still have 6 more days to cover! WOWZA!!!
  15. TOTALLY agree, Kim! On all counts! Going off property does kill the magic... Yeah, she's pretty freakin' cool. I'll tell her you said so. Haha Cherie. Brave ears were a way of getting her to ride big girl rides without whining about it. :) I need brave ears for work! Brave ears will help with courage, Stef....not sure about that stomach though. Might want to try Pepto for that. LOL. I never said there was anything wrong with enginerds! I love mine and I really do hope she follows suit. I just love the way she thinks and processes things.... Thanks Carol!!
  16. Thanks, Rita! Judy and I have been friends since 9th grade. I was her matron of honor, etc....it's THAT kind of friendship and yes it is so special to me! But, what makes it even more special is that she's so in love with my daughter and daughter feels that way about her. I love the positive adult female influences that Maddie has! We're so blessed.
  17. Oh Lou.....do I know that! They could be twins! Their similarities don't end with their looks. She thinks like him. I see another enginerd in my family!!
  18. Mon, 12/19 We are up and out early today. Getting up was kinda painful but I was feeling better. My best girlfriend Judy lives in Orlando, she moved there from South FL in December 2010. To say that Maddie adores her is an understatement. They are two peas in a pod, really. Judy has a way with children that is so wonderful. Part of it is she's a big kid at heart. Judy came to see us at the Fort in February 2011. The park ranger was looping and saw us all outside, stopped and chatted for a while. He concentrated his efforts mostly on Judy...and when he left, gave her his "business card" and tol
  19. Good catch, Dave! I totally forgot about EWP! And WELCOME ECHO!!! You found a GREAT place! :)
