Have they said what type of ship it will be? ALL I'VE READ IS THAT IT'S A STAR SHIP. CHECK OUT THE DISNEY PARKS BLOG FOR A FEW RENDERINGS.
So will guests have to go back to the hotel for every meal or will they be able to get their included meal at the park? Breakfast would be easy to have at the resort. But lunch and dinner might be a pain if they had to leave the park and go back to the resort to eat. I SUSPECT GUESTS WILL BE SPENDING A FAIR AMOUNT OF TIME AT THE RESORT. THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE PAYING THE BIG BUCKS FOR. KINDA LIKE THE CRUISE SHIP EXPERIENCE.
Exclusive admission? Will the park be available to resort guests only? IT'LL PROBABLY BE DURING PARK CLOSE.
Will the pool area be indoors? My guess is that it would be since we will be on a ship. DIDN'T READ ANY FURTHER DETAILS.
So guest can only stay for two days or you’ll have to book it for 2 days at a time? I WOULD IMAGINE THEY CAN BOOK MORE THAN TWO DAYS AND THAT THEY'LL OFFER MORE THAN ONE EXPERIENCE.

What is confirmed?
i thought it was all speculation and rumor.
The first six items and the fact that it's going to be built.

The thought of a pedestrian bridge is incredibly underwhelming, especially when compared to the speculation earlier in this thread of something along the lines of Hogwarts Express.
Keep in mind that some of those elements are confirmed and some are guesses and rumors. The bridge is in the latter.

Not a bad idea.

Except for the costume, pretty close. Funny stuff, love Bob Newhart

I don't think it'll be as elaborate as some of you are imagining. Here's what we think we know:
The entire resort will resemble a star ship.
It will be very expensive.
Buffet breakfasts, lunches, and evening dining are included.
Exclusive park admission into Galaxy's Edge.
Amenities include a pool area, water garden, fitness area and cantina.
Stays are two days long. It may be operate on a limited schedule.
Due to the two day 100% immersive experience, resort hopping is unlikely.
All indications point to it being adjacent to Galaxy's Edge.
It appears that due to the closeness of the resort to the park, a pedestrian bridge will probably connect the two.

Not so fast. All the promotional material I've seen has emphasized how guests will see views of space from their room's windows. I think it will be something like the virtual portholes on the Dream and Fantasy cruise ships. If that's the case, they don't need to worry about any actual sight lines or views from the guest rooms.
But maybe they'll also do what they do on the ships, charge more for the rooms with a real view.

You talk to him lately, he was in a bad wreck a little over a week ago. But overall he's okay for what he went through.
Unfortunately I have not seen Donnie in a long time. Glad he's ok.

Well, it appears that the "City of Disney" is not something Disney is actually pursuing... We apologize for sharing the story without doing further research on the matter
Better late than never.

I don't think I'll be at WDW carrying a light saber by the time the resort is built.
-
I will not run if nominated or serve if elected.
I think it's time for Mayor Donnie to take his rightful position.

I've been working at DHS a lot lately, mostly at the SW dessert party, and yes, I have to wear a silly Star Wars themed costume and often have to carry a Light Saber when escorting guests to the Center Stage area for the show. Hopefully there are no photos. But I digress, CMs have to enter through the entrance off Osceola Pkwy which takes you by all the SW construction. I've noticed a huge area being cleared and based on unofficial reports, that's where the SW resort will be located. It's known that the area in question is the parking lot expansion, but only half of the site is for additional parking, the back half is said to be where the resort will be located. It makes sense if that's correct, guests will be able to look out their window and see the new SW land.

That's all this City of Disney proposal is- a dumb idea from one dummy.
And that dummy is a whack job Uber driver called Loyal Millett, who lives in Utah and has nothing better to do than to submit roughly 1000 proposals, and counting. It's sad that OTPN saw fit to post this article which absolutely has no chance of seeing the light of day. Mr. Millet needs to seek professional help.

It's not open yet.
They just need to take care of one small detail: selling some memberships.

That's correct, it's there, but not open yet. They spared no expense.

The month long AA refurb has mostly been flying under the radar. In it's 3rd week, it really needed some attention and not just updating. Being there on a regular basis for private events, we would too often get the word "in addition to not being able to enter the AA rotunda, inform guests that the AA show is down."
Oh, for those who hadn't heard, Epcot's Club 33 is on the 3rd floor now.

We buy from Grainger. I wonder if I could get in :)
You might be able to, but first you'll need an invitation to the Grainger Show taking place at the OCCC next week, and then admission to the MK event. The trade show is an exclusive event open only to Grainger customers and suppliers who have an invitation. Customers can register to attend but will need an invitation. They'll be over 12,000 customers and suppliers attending the trade show and they will make up a good chunk of the 8000 attending the special event at MK.

no one has quite known why the park was set to close so early
Someone knew, it's Grainger. It's just another routine park buyout for about 8000 people. The event will last 3 hours beginning at 7:30pm. Haven't decided if I want to be there yet, leaning towards it.

Deal, send me your address and pinkie toe and I'll send you a cannoli milkshake. I'll send Brian one as well, and no, I don't want his pinkie toe.

Good catch. The WDWMAGIC site reported that it would be at the American Gardens theater, but the official announcement omits the location.
TCD
WDWMagic has access to "The HUB" and it's announcement is almost a word for word copy of the internal announcement.
"Super Heroes take over the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot. Star-Lord and Gamora from the Guardians of the Galaxy will join an alien band, taking guests on a journey through the cosmos. The party will feature hits from Awesome Mix Tapes 1 and 2 – fun and favorite tunes from the two movies’ soundtracks – building the anticipation for a new Epcot "Guardians of the Galaxy" attraction."

Maybe so, but seeing that people continue to come, they must be ok with having their hands bitten.

Travisma could have, and should have, taken the lead from Dave's post and posted a photo of slave Leia, but what does he do? Missed opportunity. I'm wondering how he got that photo of Dave, or is that Bob?
