  1. Ok another dumb newbie question. I was web surfing about the Fort and found a site that said there is a "chuck wagon snack bar" by the campfire but can not find any other info on it. Is it there or was it a thing of the past? Also on Disney says that meadows snack bar is only open seasonally. Will it be open for our December 28-Jan 5th trip? Im sure it will be seeing that is Christmas time. thanks
  2. O'Hana is awesome. The food is great and interactive show is fun and the kids love the Hulu dancing and coconut broom race. That being said if you want a quite romantic dinner for two you might want to go somewhere else. But if your bring the kids and want a great meal with more food than you can possibly eat go to O'Hana. It's one of our top five WDW restaraunts.
  3. My DD(7) loves the piggy bank adventure. It's the first thing she wants to do when we get to Epcot. And she wants to do it again before we leave. Heck my DW and I enjoy it also.
  4. I think the bike swap is a great idea. I'll start one this Christmas. Forget logistics I'm buying one a walmart for my DD7 and pay it forward to a fellow Fiend and ask them to pay it forward when they leave to another fiend. I wonder how long the bike will remain at the fort? Maybe I'll think of away to right my name and date on it and encourage others to do the same. Just an idea.
  5. Ive seen it before. I think it was a picture of the rental prices. But now I can't find it. Looking for prices for renting bicycles snd golf carts. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.
  6. Dang it I missed it. Can we just celebrate it any time we are at the Fort? Or any day of the week that ends with a "Y"?
  7. Are there life jackets by the pools like at the other resorts?
  8. That actually sounds really good. I need to try that recipe. Thanks
  9. Yes!!! Extra beer money! We actual plan on the fried chicken dinner on the boat dock to watch the fireworks also but we aren't sure if they allow people on the dock after dark.
  10. I didn't know you could use the fast passes past the time tehy said anyways. But now that I know I wish I would have done that in the past instead of runing half way across the park just to get to TOT on time.
  11. Thanks everyone. I feel better now and I guess it won't be as difficult as I thought. I will ALS check out Narcossees. We have never eaten there either. I just want it to be a great night.
  12. Ok we are coming to the Fort for our first time this Christmas, 2012. Our wedding anniversary is the the 31st of December and wanted to do something special for my DW. We had talked about going to the California Grill but still have not been there. I heard its very hard and very expensive, over $500 per person, to get reservations on New Years Eve. Besides we have a DD7 that will be with us and doesn't stay up much past 9:00 pm. So I thought we could have dinner and watch the fireworks show on a different night. I also heard there is an outside viewing deck so if we can't get a rez durin
  13. Judy was able to book Christmas 2012 for us. When I tried it was full. I don't know how she did but she did. Thanks again Judy
  14. I have a similar recipe but it calls for 6 beers. After adding 4 beers open fifth beer and drink Then when grilling brats drink sixth beer
  15. A little something we do all the time while camping. I always make beer butt chicken for myself, DW, and DD We usually only eat one chicken but I always make two. The next day I take the extra chicken shred all the meet up in a saucepan and then add BBQ sauce and heat till it's hot and make BBQ chix sandwiches. This also works with left over roast beef or pork.
  16. Hobo supper. Foil bag filled with butter, any smoked sausage, sliced, butter, potatoes cubes, butter, chopped onion, butter, chopped bell pepper, butter, carrots , butter, and seasoned salt, with butter. Put on grill for about 20-30 minutes until taters are tender. You add or subtract any root type veggie. You can add just about anything you like. The juices from the sausage, the butter, mix with the seasoned salt and veggies and make it oh so good. Oh if you happen to have bacon throw that in also. It's a pretty easy meal and it's low fat and low calorie. The butter cooks out all the cal
  17. Have never stayed at the Fort but stayed at the fort a dozen times. Usually arrive on a Saturday and leave the following Saturday. We do 4 full day and 2 half day at the parks. Next trip we are renting an RV and staying 8 or 9 nights and probably gonna do the same 4 full, and 2 maybe 3 half days. Depends on how much punch I drink. Lol
  18. We use Disney's Magical Express most times we come WDW. However, this time we are flying into Tampa staying 3 nights getting a rental car driving to the Fort, dropping off the car. We don't need it for 8 days. Then renting Donnie's 5th wheel for a week and hopefully taking magical express to Orlando airport. My question is, does the Magical Express go to and from the Fort? And if it does, does it pick us up at our camp site or where do we catch it? Thanks PS. Sorry I used the MAGICAL word so much. Lol
  19. What time should you arrive? I'm renting donnie's 5th wheel. Arriving friday December 28th 2012.
  20. Thanks. I've spent hours trying to figure ome of these out. I always figured DH=Disney husband DW=Disney wife, etc But I guess dear husband makes more sense
