  1. Now there is a man who knows how to roast a marshmallow. You have my respect sir :D
  2. I have to second that. We keep thinking we should just cancel it and save money but then realize we wouldn't have it for the RV :D
  3. I know it is already affecting a local RV dealer here. The owner came to us and asked if he could put a trailer on our lot because we have more visibility. As far as affecting our camping I feel like if I am paying for the motorhome I am going to use the damn thing. Might night make as many trips as usual but will still take her out.
  4. Thanks Bob. I have seen some pictures. I kind of like the open feel of it.
  5. It makes me sad every time I see that empty shoe tree :rofl2: The Fantasyland expansion looks impressive :parrot:
  6. Yes premium, no more coquina for me :rofl2: Our very first trip was in 800 in 1988, it was fine with the Transvan and tent but I agree way too crammed together for a motorhome. We stayed in 1400 before it was converted, I didn't really care for the site, it was nice that trip cause we had our oldest and his family with us. Never been in any of the others that you mentioned, I have had the pleasure of the 1900 loop once, never again, thank you very much. No swamps for me. Yes I am spoiled :rofl2: We will be at All Stars on the 20th so I thought I might stop into the Fort and check out some
  7. It was a bad day. But fortunately it was the business and not our home. Luckily it was summer so we just set a picnic table and had the phone company and power company set up some temporary power and business went on as usual. I have to say you really find out how much you are respected as a business when something like that happens. We we set back a little but we survived.
  8. Ditto. The basics are always in there. When the weather breaks I put back anything that would have froze over the winter. Then 2 days before I turn thr fridge on and start filling it.
  9. Oh I don't know. It's been about 3 years since we have been there, so I guess i have a million questions. Our most recent trips we have been in either 500 or 800. Before that we always stayed in the 300 loop. I'd rather not tempt any gators with a chihuahua snack and I'm sure Disney would find a way to cut into my profits if I started a fast food stand, good idea though :rofl2: So if you were me where would you request, keeping in mind that my plan is to spend most of my time at the Fort and will have a GC
  10. Shanta could you suggest any site numbers to request. The comfort station is not an issue for us but we will have a GC this trip thanks to Kenny :rofl2:
  11. I am looking for more pics. I am a little worried that we lost most of the restoration pictures when our business burned to the ground in 1997. I still have a few more places to look.
  12. Thanks stef, I was thinking November would be the best time to be in that loop too. I love the sunshine and it just looks so pretty.
  13. I'm thinking of requesting this loop in November.I like the location. Wish there were more trees, but besides site 617 what do you like or dislike about this loop.
  14. I honestly think I have more separation anxiety than the dogs do. I am fortunate though because my daughter will take all 5 of them when we go places that they can't go.
  15. We made our first Fort trip June of 1988. Our oldest ds18 had graduated from high school and would be joining the AirForce in the Fall. We found this in a local auto salvage yard and spent the winter restoring it. I learned more about Bondo and fiberglass than I ever wanted to but it was worth. We ended up here. We went to Breakfast with Chip and Dale ds18 ds15 ds12 Another highlight was the Hoop-de-Doo Revue My son the star. Waiting for the chicken and enjoying the show. Ds5 and dd4 I know I have more pictures somewhere. I think I gave some too the kids. It was a great vacation. Seve
  16. Is it sad that as an adult I love Barnstormer
  17. I always took my kids out for 10 days each year. I always tried to make sure that there was no testing going. For us it was the only time we could go. Summers were and still our our busiest time of the year for our business. Fortunately our school system was always willing to work with us.
  18. We almost always get to the Fort around 11 a.m. Been pretty lucky, all but one trip were were able to get on our site right away. That time we went to the overflow lot and had lunch. By the time we were finished we got a call saying our site was ready.
  19. In 25 years of going to the Magic Kingdom I think it was only open twice. It is one our favorites too
  20. Great report. Setting up all by yourself, I am very proud of you. We call our Garmin Beatrice, we argue with her all th time, she has no sense of direction  Can't wait to read more
  21. That was me Whip. Did you get one? I checked out Petco and Tractor supply - neither seems to carry it in stock. I am going to order it online on Monday. Walmart has them too. They are a little cheaper there, but they ahve a stronger scent and makes me sneeze. My son uses the Walmart one for his dog and it works just fine too.
  22. Gina, I have a houseful of paranoid nervous chihuahuas. The vet me gave some drops for them. It's HomeoPet Anxiety. It works like a charm. It was $14.95 from the vet but I found a site where you can get for $9.95. I can't remember which site. HomeoPet has a site too. It was the same price there as at the vet's.
  23. Check all the stores like Walmart kmart Sears, you get the idea. Look in the clearance section. You might be too late for this year though.
  24. The one time we were going to see Circle of Life something went wrong and they emptied the theater. I took it as an omen
