  1. Thanks and no problem I like seeing these construction plans. It is a lot of piles, seems like they could support a big structure with all those. At the Fort they have plenty of property to expand and they figured out they didnt need to go out over the water, but at the Poly they don't have as much room to expand so over the water might be the best way. You know what? I feel like these will be some grand villas over the water. If they added grand villas and then converted the Tahiti building to DVC that would probably be enough to say they have a Poly DVC. I agree with most though, if I were t
  2. After reading tikimans post it reminded me of something. We stayed at the Poly over the fourth of July week and one day we got back to the room and found our patio furniture in the room. Turns out they put all 1st floor furniture inside on the 3rd so people wouldn't steal it to take to the beach to watch fireworks. Crazy I wouldn't have ever even considered doing that but I guess a lit if people do. WBI
  3. I just posted plans and applications for the start of some changes at the poly but I didn't see any area for a lazy river. I don't know about converting the buildings but it does look like they are proposing some new ones. WBI
  4. I have some news for everyone. I saw something very interesting come up today, an environmental application for rehab and construction at the Polynesian. I had read some rumors before about adding some over water buildings for hotel rooms but this application confirms there is a little truth to that. Here's a page from the actual application: Did you see the part about adding piles within the lagoon to support future structures? Pretty awesome right? Well check out how many piles they are proposing: In case you can't read that here's a zoom of some areas: A
  5. Alright time for another post. It’s now Friday afternoon and we hopped a bus back to our resort from Animal Kingdom. We had to wait on a bus driver swap, but at least we were in the a/c. Pretty soon we were on our way; but about halfway to the resort the bus driver makes an announcement asking if any of us wanted to go to Blizzard Beach, we all said no and he said oh good because I forgot to turn back there. Lol Our bus went to the Contemporary first I think then stopped at the GF I don’t remember the exact route but we decided to try the GF counter service for lunch. We had never seen it
  6. Two more comments and then a new post! haha thanks Kim! I agree, how did her parents allow that! haha that's pretty good. WBI
  7. I'm going to try and keep this report going this week, but first some comments. Thank you! I'll let CP know about the glasses, lol! I agree on the leaving something to the imagination, what's up with that, and I can promise I would never let my daughter wear something like that. I feel the same way about the hammock. Glad to know we aren't the only ones about Canada, the funny part is though we have no idea where to start with visiting it, there are too many different places. I guess that's how people visiting the US feel. That's awesome! Hopefully we can do the same
  8. Another weekend post: It’s now Friday morning, we were up and ready for our 8am breakfast at Kona Café! There was no crowd and before you know it we had our Kona coffee. I liked it, not bad at all. We decided to share today so CP got some kind of omelet and I got the Tonga Toast!!! It was great!!! I regretted having to share, lol. CP liked it so much she tried it again in Captain Cooke's later on in the trip. After our breakfast we hopped a bus to Animal Kingdom. Guess the first thing we saw: The weird bush lady Devine was real close to the entrance. Then we spotted this
  9. Sorry for the delay everyone, I didn’t mean to take that long to post. It’s now Thursday afternoon, we’ve had some pool and relaxing time now then got ready for a night out at Epcot. We once again walked the short walk over to the TTC and caught the Monorail to Epcot, no crashes or breakdowns and we were there in no time. We walked straight to the World Showcase starting in Mexico. We took a look inside but it was packed with a crazy long lines for the ride and the Tequila bar. So we continued wondering around. Here we stopped in Germany: While walking around we realized that we had a
  10. Yup that's what I've heard also, she's still going to play at the Rose and Crown but she will know longer wear the Hat Lady Outfit and improve like she used to, its going to be traditional music. Well as TCD so poetically put it below you can still get those ice cream sandwiches other places but you now have to eat outside. Also we used to like to get a sugar cookie on one side and a chocolate chip cookie on the other but we tried at two places this past trip and they only had chocolate chip. Well put TCD! Also you can no longer choose your cookie type! ditto lol TCD po
  11. I way past due for a post so let's get going! We were pretty ticked about the fish, but I really think we were just unlucky. I have to admit the cone thing didn't look too good, but it wasn't horrible. I would probably opt for a hot one next time, the chicken salad stuff had a lot of mayo. No I probably wouldn't get it again, but CP might. Carrot Cake Cookie, is the bomb. Oh I should add we always get it at the place you talked about it's called Sweet Spells and is inside the Villain's store (or next to Staring Rolls). We always get breakfast in the Writer's Stop but never the CC
  12. I think he was saying make a left turn onto Epcot Resorts Blvd towards the Hess station and the BW, but instead of turning into the BW make a u-turn and then go straight through the light across BVD into HWS. The goal is to avoid the traffic waiting to make the right turn into HWS. Is that what you were saying Lou? I've never had to do it there but I used that trick in Naples a lot. I think that expansion and reconfigure makes a lot of sense and will open up all kinds of room. I'm another person that has barely used that entrance off of World Drive, although I have ran through it during the
  13. Bonus night post. It’s now Thursday July 4th! Happy Independence Day! We woke up real early to make it to Hollywood Studios pre-rope drop. I took these while waiting on CP. We hopped a bus, and made it here to the front gate around 7:30am, extra magic hours were supposed to open at 8am. Look at the crowds already in line: The lines steadily grew behind us. I of course chose a slow line but eventually we were through the turnstiles and in the park a before 8am. We walked straight to Toy Story Mania, there was no rope. CP hopped in line and I grabbed fast passes. Aft
  14. Time for more report. It’s now Wednesday afternoon, after our nap and freshening up we walked over to the TTC and caught the Epcot monorail. We didn’t break down or have to evacuate down a rope and soon enough we were pulling into Epcot: It was pretty crowded when we got there but we didn’t really care our plan was to grab some food and relax nothing crazy, so we walked straight to the World Showcase and to one of our favorite places the Rose and Crown. It was pretty crowded but we made our way to the bar and I ordered a Snakebite and an order of fish and chips. Now we’ve ordered fish a
  15. Thanks they just happen to be in the picture. CP really likes that parade, because it really pumps you up when your feeling exhausted, so you should check it out. That's what I'm thinking I'm going to need, evidently my wife was a wild a child. haha thanks! I hear ya about the KOL harness, sometimes they are a necessity for safety reasons. lol good one KFK! Thank you I'm looking forward to the change. The Poly is awesome! We have stayed at the WL once, but it was only for one night back in July 2011. We really liked it though and honestly it would be my firs
  16. Awesome report! Parts of it sound very familiar but can't wait to read more. WBI
  17. That's awesome and the right attitude to have! I have no tech info to add sorry. WBI
  18. Hey you sure did, I just got it posted! WBI
  19. Alright it’s time for a weekend update. But first a little personal update, on Friday I put in my two weeks notice. A couple weeks ago I was offered a new and I’m hoping it’s a great career move, but only time will tell. So if my updates are a little delayed now you know why. With that disclaimer out of the way on with the report. It’s still Wednesday our first full day and we just finished lunch at Be Our Guest. I think TCD posted a similar picture as this, but check out the bird on the castle really throwing off the forced perspective. Now we’re heading over to Storybook
  20. It was a great MK morning! Yes BOG was a gorgeous restaurant! One thing I didn't mention, I was surprised about the drink stations, I really like that your able to make your own drinks and get refills, but I was surprised that they had the cups out there also. How long before everyone starts getting free drinks from there? I guess if they keep regulating the people that enter it won't be so bad, but I have a feeling people will start to take advantage of that. As far as the cinnamon rolls, I agree I could rant all day about Starbucks but what good will it do. Funny thing is we miss mor
  21. I’m going to squeeze in one more post tonight to get through some more Magic Kingdom pictures. Here we are still in New Fantasy Land We’re still in the new Fantasy Land taking in all the details; this is after all our first time to see it in person. (dorky) Our normal tradition is to get a cinnamon roll and croissant sandwich but since corporate America is now on Main Street USA, we had to settle on going to Gaston’s Tavern instead. Here’s our breakfast: You know what? It looks a lot better than it tasted. It wasn’t too warm and you could tell it was pre-made and left
  22. Ok time for another update. It’s now Wednesday morning our first full day. We were up early as usual. Here we are waiting for the monorail at the Poly. Not sure if you can read her shirt but it says, “Pregnant with a lil prince” Random fountain outside of the Poly, we really liked all the décor and theming, they really immerse you in the Polynesian atmosphere. Before long we were at Magic Kingdom Oh I should mention about our tickets. Having to buy out of state tickets is not cheap! Lol I know most of you know that already but we were not used to that. I actually used the Mousav
  23. I agree Lou you don't really have to have apostrophes for words to sound right. Ok on to more report! WBI
  24. Ok I think these are the last of the comments. Wow great hijack ya'll and yes I did ask for it so no worries, I'm afraid because of work this report will be open to hijacks pretty much every day. Funny how much trouble punctuation is. WBI
  25. More comments: Hey Lou! Thank you, I have been pretty lucky in my life! No real complaints! haha I thought you'd like the EWP. Man I'm sorry I didn't call you while we were there we could of met up but we were running around a lot. Thanks for the update on the okina, I can honestly say I've never heard of that word before lol. It's always good to learn in a trip report. Thank you!!! Thank you I should have some more coming soon! Good to know TCD. I thought those signs were different and fixed. Maybe Disney really does listen to the masses...well sometimes an
