  1. I agree with TCD on the great service. While you sit for a bit sometimes waiting, I am amazed at how smoothly and apparently effortlessly the bus transportation system works. I've never had a bad bus driver, or even a grumpy one. Lou even managed a smile and pretending to care when the lady complained and I jumped on his bus to shake his hand. Moving that many people that many places without effing it all up is a huge accomplishment.
  2. I skipped it this year to go get fast passes, but my wife and kids really like going to the show. Looking on bingmaps, the footprint the complex of the current theatre takes up will have to be wedged in to that new space pretty tightly.
  3. We ain't got no accents up here neither, I tell ya. (Bob will like the pop reference) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OymMl734Ews
  4. Hit enter too soon. We pulled our three out for two weeks total. Next year we are going to take them out a day earlier so we get more time looking for Lou on a bus. They will miss more if the weather turns bad on the way back to MN next week. All three of our kids are in the gifted and talented program, and the only teacher that throws a fit is the 6th grade phy ed teacher.
  5. School is not that important. Schedule the vacation when it works for you, and have the little ones bring homework with. Learning is important, the schedule the school keeps is not. For the most part they are warehousing the average and above average kids while the dumb kids catch up. Don't get me started.
  6. Watched it happen on three more busses this morning, and two of them werent epcot. Wish i had paid closer attention for better intel.
  7. Heh. You should see the piece of junk 8 seater I usually bring with! I don't mind scratch and denter, it makes it harder to see what I've done to it!
  8. Hello folks! We are planning on arriving at the Fort a week from Sunday. If we get lucky and my wife gets Friday night off at the Hospital (patient count dependant) then we will get there on Saturday! Here is the problem. My mother who lives in Fort Myers Beach, has a doctor's appointment on Monday and won't get there until Monday afternoon. She is having surgery this week and it will be a follow up. I'm bringing the little electric scooter for her at the parks that I used when I crashed my motorcycle and got a bunch of new titanium installed on my bones. Here's the problem: She usually bu
  9. The guy I get mine from said the same thing. Honduras is the fishizzle now for good cigars.
  10. I'll be at the fort in two weeks, if nobody has done it for you by then I can.
  11. I've got the keychain for the RV. Just fired it up and moved it from the storage shed to the shop so I can do some work on it. The key chain and tire cover made me smile.
  12. I've met you Lou, and to that I have to say "Don't sell yourself short Judge, you're a tremendous slouch".
  13. I can't figure out how to post an attachment here. I sent you a private message, if you can give me your email address I can send you the kmz file that way. I don't know Shanta, but is there a way we can get that link active again, or can we put it up somewhere on this site? I can send it to an admin if they don't have it.
  14. I've got Shanta's kmz file on my computer, but don't know how to post it here? I'm working on it.
  15. Please people, pay attention. Lou said he had hot pants. And I get nothing? Nothing?
  16. I love the Y'all reference. And I really love hearing "All Y'all". Loosely translated in Minnesotan it's "Ya sure, you betcha!"
  17. Oh, and welcome to the site! You should really post more or Lou will show up at your site and give you what for!
  18. Zpack, you can find Shanta's program for google maps here: http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/1029-fw-site-maps-in-googleearth/ I open the program he made, and then use bingmaps to reference between the two. In Bing you can switch between the "road", "aerial", and "bird's eye" view depending on what you want to see. http://www.bing.com/maps/#JnE9LmZvcnQlMmJ3aWxkZXJuZXNzJTdlc3N0LjAlN2VwZy4xJmJiPTM1LjU2MzA1MDA5MzYxMDQlN2UtMTE4LjAzMTkxMzc1NzMyNCU3ZTM0LjkwOTExODM0MDQ0MjIlN2UtMTE5LjMwOTA3NDQwMTg1NQ== Prepare to lose a few hours!
  19. No, carts are not necessary. They are just plain FUN! I like tooling around and looking at other peoples campers, and the little nooks and crannies of the Fort I would never walk to, and couldn't drive to. I wouldn't rent one from Disney though, way too expensive. You have the right idea about not rushing at the parks, and spending time at the Fort. If you are planning on coming back through the years, then take it easy and do one park a day, and get a good feel for each park. Do your research on what you want to see in each park, and use the fast pass system. Read the trip reports here
  20. I'm really late to the party here, but we have requested 1435 the last two years and have gotten it both times. We wanted to be close to the comfort station since we don't really use the bathroom in the RV, and this way we could keep eyes on the kids the whole way. My 10 year old daughter was just in here (I was looking at sites on Shanta's program and on bing maps which has better resolution) and she said, "I liked it we could watch the movie from our site"), We sat in lawn chairs on the back pavement and could see and hear the movie just fine. The noise did not bother us at all, and we en
  21. I've got one booked in three weeks with Kenny. A six passenger cart. He didn't charge anything at the reservation time, but explained it would be charged before I get there. He's a good person and very ethical so I don't mind.
