Starting today, January 12, the viewing location for Magic Kingdom parades will be relocated from the Central Plaza Viewing area to the Town Square Viewing Area, near the flagpole. This new location is available for both the daytime and nighttime parades.
Starting February 27, the viewing location for Magic Kingdom fireworks will relocate from the Rose Garden Fireworks Viewing Area to the Main Street Plaza Gardens. This preferred viewing location is adjacent to Casey's Corner and the Plaza Restaurant. Guests may choose either side upon arrival to the Main Street Plaza Gardens, based on availability.

From February 1 to April 11 the new golden coach will be available on the streets of America at Hollywood Studios for photo opportunities.
There will also be a sneak peek of the new Cinderella movie starting Jan 17.
Still no word on the food items that will be sold from it.

The new coach will be on display in new fantasyland today, tomorrow, and the next available for photos. There will be photo pass photographers.

People start packing in around 530 for the first one. If you want a spot in the castle hub area, get there around then. By 6 it'll be packed tight. You will still be able to get a spot down Main Street but the viewing isn't very good. If you don't mind a different angle, stake out one of the bridges. They are not usually as packed as the hub. Everyone wants front and center.
The second showing isn't as bad as you think. Yes people are lining up for parade, but they have spots down ms and the hub isn't any worse than a normal night. More people hit the first show so they can get their spots for the parade.

It was a localized power outage that only affeted parts of Adventure land attractions. The attractions continued to run but limited functionality. I cant go into further details.

It was a pop warner private event at DHS.

They did a horrible job. That Olaf looks like he drives a van with free candy painted on the side and poor Cinderella had no say in what happens in her kingdom. Elsa just marches in and does what she wants. I've seen the show 3 times now and it irritates me more and more each time.
In a related note, the new lights look amazing.

Minnie meets from park open until around 10, then marie starts meeting when Minnie goes back to SBC.

Effective 3 Nov, the Disney Photopass archive disk will no longer be offered. To receive all of your memories, Memory Maker is the only option.
 
If you decide after your vacation that you want to purchase all of your memories, there is now an option to purchase memory maker after your vacation is over. Its the same price, $199.

The CM are empowered to do what it takes within their power to assist a guest or make a magical moment when they see fit, Guest recovery comes first. If a guest comes out of the Mickey room and the photos they had taken were dark. It is up to the CM to assist up to their ability. Front line cast can not promise a guest more than $10 without getting a coordinator involved. But it doesnt have to be monetary. They can speak to the Mickey attendants and get them right back in to have more photos taken. They can issue a no strings voucher that can be used several different ways, Priority access to and attraction, free ice cream, free shirt within their limit.
 
Coordinators carry these vouchers on them to help assist with recovery. Coordinators have a higher dollar threshold as does leaders. We try to use the lowest level to fix the issue.
 
As well, any CM can get a child a new ice cream if they like. They are empowered to do so. Popped ballons can be replaced.Again, this is all taught to them from day 1.
 
Then the magical moments we do for fun. We had a few photographers that would get a few balloons every night and hand them out to random kids. Who got the balloons? Depended on how they felt. Cutest, most well behaved, best costume, etc.

As a coordinator I have the power to make some magic for the cast as well. I carry candy with me and if the other CMs are doing what they are supposed to, they get a few pieces, Brightens their day and they pass on that good feeling when dealing with the guest. Last night the photographers at TS Holiday (the shot with the pumpkin) there was no line and the headless horseman was coming down the street. I threw them into the shot and took their picture with the horseman in the background. It was printed out and given to them.

I for one find this appalling. Does it happen? Yes.....Is it OK? Not at all. You are knowingly "stealing" from a company. Its like saying Marvel made 1.3 million on a movie, so its OK to record the show on your smart phone and sell it on the net. Or one step further, Sears made $106million dollars, its OK to walk out with that pair of socks.
 
Stealing is stealing. Point your moral compass where you may, but its wrong no matter how you justify it. And for a news source to openly condone this practice? Even worse. I can see a lawsuit from Disney in the future for them.

The work area dictates the type of CM you will encounter, most of the time. Most "Old Timers" who are just punching the clock go to resorts. They dont have to deal with many guest and they are off at a decent hour of the night. They can get by with doing the bare minimum.
 
Animal Kingdom also has allot of old timers but they arent as bitter. They get the guest interaction, but still get off at a decent hour. Theyve been around a while and it shows sometimes in the way they treat guest and act at work. They are the ones who know all the rules and use them to their benefit.
 
The MK has the younger, pixi dust infused CMs. The ones who want to be there. The ones who will go above and beyond to help a guest feel special.
 
I like to play a game when visiting the parks. I can spot a CM deployed from another location just by the way they act. You can almost always pick the MK CMs from a mile away. AK CMs ussually do not come to the MK to work, they cant handle the pressure. Resorts never leave resorts. But if youre ever at another park and get great service, most likely its a CM from MK.

I wouldn't put any weight on that theory. They claim the shop is opening dec 31. We had the ribbon cutting ceremony today. I've worked there several times and there is no where to buy a ride photo and no room to add the capability.This is one of the reasons I despise bloggers. The author put this out there as fact. Claiming to know it as truth. And even now, when proved wrong, the article remains up with no edit to correct the info. The author threw it up and forgot about it. If you want me to acknowledge you as a serious journalist, take pride and ownership in your work.
