So, take this with a grain of salt, but the rumor (as tweeted by Len Testa) is that after AP closes in October for a scheduled refurb, it will reopen as a character meal with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, initially for dinner but expected to expand to lunch and breakfast. This popped up over the weekend and was the source of quite a bit of chatter on other boards that shall not be named and the distwitter/disfacebook news sites. If true, this will absolutely SMB as it's one of our favorite restaurants...

I believe the 2200 & 2300 loops are the pet friendly loops. Not sure where I read that, though.

Yes! The Wild Center is a fun day. When my kids were younger we went a couple of times.
Tupper Lake is in the middle of nowhere, though.

No, it's because Someone ordered a PB&J Milkshake not knowing there was peanut butter in it. Vacation ruined!

I think the coaster idea was a good middle ground for people that either weren't aware of the 'antics' in the restaurant, or for people that know and choose not to be involved. That's also great that there is a side room that's a little quieter for people who choose to enjoy things from a distance.
However, this is an example of Disney rolling over for all the complainers and special interest groups to make everything as plain vanilla and unobjectionable as possible. I've also heard rumors that the cast members at the Prime Time Diner at DHS have been told to tone it down. Let's face it, people don't really go there for the excellent food.

We must occasionally make adjustments based on a variety of factors, including alignment with our domestic resorts in California and Hawaii. As you mentioned in your correspondence, the industry standard for full-service hotels is to charge a parking fee. The policy regarding resort overnight parking will apply to reservations booked on or after March 21, 2018, while Theme Park parking will remain complimentary for all Resort Guests. Information about parking for Resort Guests may be found on our website.
Complimentary parking will be available for all Guests who wish to dine, shop, enjoy activities or visit a resort for the day.

To Whom It May Concern;
After much thought, I decided to drop guest services a note regarding the new resort parking fee being charged to all guests with vehicles staying at ‘on property’ Disney resorts. Not that my voice means more than any other drop in the bucket, but I think that this is totally ridiculous and a complete money grab by the management.
Our family has made many trips to WDW over the last ten years, and has almost always stayed at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. One of the main reasons we’ve chosen the cabins for our lodging is not only the theming and the atmosphere for our rather large family, but because we normally drive to WDW and like being able to park our vehicle at our cabin. Charging a per diem fee to park there seems like a real slap in the face, given that each cabin has its own parking space. Even at the larger resorts, this seems like an excessive move.
Look, I get it. We travel to other places and we live near NYC – in an urban location where parking and land are at a premium, it’s not unexpected to pay to park overnight or by the day. At the WDW resort, where guests pay a (substantial) premium to stay ‘on property’, and the resorts have the benefits of land and relatively abundant parking, this really makes one wonder the rationale for the surcharge.
I'm going to state bluntly that WDW has really started to turn me off with a lot of the nickel-and-diming they are doing lately, and I think this is the straw that breaks the proverbial camel's wallet. I get that the higher rack rates are somewhat offset by convenience, customer service and that parking, internet/wifi and other resort amenities (that do seem less and less each trip) would be covered at some hotels under a flat ‘resort fee’, which Disney does not charge.
Net/net, I’m pretty sure that we are going to spend the next few years checking out other parts of the country as opposed to visiting WDW. It's getting to the point that I can't justify the costs for the benefits any more, especially with a large family.
Maybe after the 50th hoopla has come and gone we'll plan a family trip again, but for the immediate future I think we’re out.

Totally agree. I wonder how long it will be before DVC starts feeling the crunch. It's certainly no value anymore, unless the intent is to herd their 'loyal repeat visitors' even more towards DVC purchase to maintain the 'discounts' that they already enjoy (free parking, no resort fees, etc).
It's funny how many people we know with younger kids making their first trips to WDW and totally overspending on everything now. Disney gives the hard sell on the dining plan, especially the top tier one - who the heck can eat two or three sit down meals a day? Heck, who can get the reservations? And all the add-ons that you MUST purchase for your kids: dessert parties, boutique trips, etc etc etc.
It's going to be all about milking the first timers and the slow death by 1,000 extras.
My gosh, I think I'm getting as cynical as TCD.

Pretty sure I'm going to spend the next few years checking out other parts of the country and skiing in the winter as opposed to giving them my $$. Might squeeze in a Food & Wine trip, but it's getting to the point that I can't justify the costs for the benefits any more. Especially with a large family and limited lodging options.

I used to make my own wine a few years ago. I used glass gallon demijohns with an aquarium heater. With this method the yoghurt function works in place of the heater and the vent will release the gases produced. The stuff I brewed was drinkable, I bought juice from home brew shops though not the grocery store. Also I would think with this method you would still want to transfer to a another container for secondary fermentation and filter. It was a lot of effort for 6 bottles of wine, I did do one 30 bottle batch but that's more equipment.
I may be tempted to try this for making hard cider, less concern about filtering and maturing.

Yes, I remember the breakfast with Pocahontas, and I could see them adding in some sort of breakfast meal there. However, I too find it hard to believe they would drastically alter the restaurant and create another cookie cutter meal serving chicken nuggets or a buffet. Not to mention that those characters don't go at all with the theming of the resort. But, as I said, take it with a grain of salt.
