All I have to do now is obsess on which loop to request
Don't worry about what loop, they are all good

This is personal preference, my wife and I like 2000 loop either the beginning of loop or the end. 2001, 2002, or 2003, but have stayed all around the loop. It is a large loop so there will be more children around than 1500 and some people do not like kids playing. 1500 is smaller loop and more in the middle of campground therefore a lot of people like it. All depends on what you like. I find 1500 is more crowded and usually louder than 2000. Also 2000 has 2 comfort stations where as 1500 shares one with 1600 loop.

I hope the wind dies down a little bit.

I might have gone on this 60 years ago when I was a teenager, but have more sense now and keep my feet close to the ground.

Along the same line, why don;t they have mufflers on those gas carts. If you can make a V8 car quiet, why can't they make a 1-2 cyl engine quieter. Some golf carts rattle the windows from a long distance away.

Every Labor Day weekend?
Not that I can remember.

I agree, don't remember one on Labor Day, but I have only been here a little over 70 years.

I can't believe nobody had given the standard "it tastes like a cross between bald eagle and Florida panther" response.

That is because they are meat eaters, manatee is a plant eater, therefore they taste more like gophers. My grandfather used to tell me about eating them. Gopher stew tastes like beef, have had it in times past before they were protected.

Oh...so like a Filet O Fish?
Not really, I under stand it is more like beef or green turtle, since they feed on grass.

Today entering the magic kingdom the guy in front of me set off the metal detector. They did the wand search found he had a leatherman tool. Measured the blade on it and gave it back to him and said that it was fine have a nice day.
What is the measurement allowed. Where I come from, you not dressed if you don't have a knife in your pocket. I have carried a knife for over 60 years and even have a Sunday Knife to carry to church with me, It is very small, about a 2" blade.

So you need a passport for a Disney Cruise?
While you don't need a passport, I suggest getting one, we had a problem this past trip because one of our group had a birth certificate issued from a hospital and it was not acceptable, resulting in an expensive solution of having a travel agent from the state where they were born making a trip to pick up a copy from the state records and faxing it to Disney before they could board. I think it ended up costing several hundred before it was all over. Getting a passport is fairly simple and if you only get the card it is not expensive.

Then it states all weapons must be checked in and secured during your stay.
What do they consider a weapon, how about a knife in your kitchen, or a screwdriver in your tool box, either and many other things can be weapons, baseball bats, hammers. ect

My $.02 worth, I think part of the problem is a lot of us can no longer go to the Fort often, it might be sickness, distance to Fort, having to take care of family members, older age, or money. I know I have had to cut my trips down, I have 1 reservation for next year and my have to cancel it like I had to last year. We would get our Fort fix from some who could make multiple trips a year and give good reports with photos and updates on what was happening at WDW. While we still have some who can go often, trip reports and updates have really gone down. We still enjoy the ones we get, but sometimes they are far between and since photos are harder to post we don't get as many. Also we do not have any active CMs posting that I know of so we do not get as good info as before. I still check in several times a day but a lot of times there is nothing to read that is new. Tom

There are several small bat houses around the Fort, one I noticed for sure is in 2100 loop behind the last site next to canal. Have noticed other, but can't remember just where. There is not much danger from them if you don't handle them and they consume a lot of bugs every night. I have started to install them around my property. It might take 3-5 years before the bats move in, but when they do the bugs will decrease.

I have a question, since I have lived in Florida for almost 74 years, maybe some fiend can answer it for me. Why does anyone want to live in a place with that kind of cold weather? My father always claimed they were just yankees and just didn't know better, but there must be a better reason, somebody clue me in on what it is.

That sounds like an incredible deal.
I have a Kindle Paperwhite that's a few years old now. It still works fine, but it did mysteriously lock-up on me once until I found a hack on-line to fix it. I figure I will need to replace it soon. I'm only interested in using a Kindle for reading- is the Paperwhite the best model for that?
TCD
I have the Paperwhite and the Fire. The Fire has color and can be connected to the web and I like it better for general reading, it is a bit larger. The Paperwhite is smaller and can be read in the sun or darkness. It is about the size of a paperback book but thinner. After having both, don"t think I will buy another Paperwhite as the Fire has color and sound and is easier to hold, Also you can get 2 Fires for the price on one Paperwhite.

HOF is one of my favorite shows at WDW and I think every parent should take their kids to see it when they are old enough to understand it. I watched the show twice on U tube and think they did an outstanding job on the new show.

If any one is thinking about getting an Ebook, Staples has the Kindle Fire on sale in their current flier for only $39.99.

I put General Grabber AT2's on my f150 in the spring and they are going well. I will never understand why 1/2 ton pickups come with family car tires except they give a smoother, quieter ride for the soccer moms.
1/2 ton pickups are designed for passenger use, they are not intended to haul or tow a heavy load. If you have a big trailer or load to haul you need a heavier platform to do the job. Just so you don't think I am just bashing, I drive a 6 cyl 1/2 ton Ram pickup and it does a good job for me hauling small loads and small trailers, while getting good gas millage. When I need to haul a larger load or tow a big trailer I rent a truck or use my son's truck.
