  1. Lots of reasons to chose or reject loops. The low numbers are an easy walk to the marina (Settlement). The high numbers are walkable to the Outpost bus stop. 1000-1900 sort of surround the Meadows. Near the marina you can hear the MK fireworks and the water pageant each night. We were looking at 600 yesterday and it seems almost barren -- just recently rebuilt and no trees. We're in 300 this visit and enjoying it but it's a bit of a walk to the Meadows.
  2. A few years ago, they moved all the bus routes at FW to the outpost -- I think the last one changed was the Studios. Anyway, we were coming back and after the stop at the Lodge, the driver drove us in to the Settlement loop, found he wasn't supposed to be there, drove back to the Lodge and back in to the Settlement!. I think we persuaded him to let us off there. He said that he hadn't driven that route for a while and the GPS still had out-of-date routings.
  3. Nana: We take that route out (turn left after the parking lot) and take a road that we're not supposed to (going out apparently) and go up through the residential areas to Winter Garden. There's a bit of toll road you can turn onto just before the big plaza or go up to the other road and turn left to the turnpike. If you come south on this road there's a left turn that's far too easy to miss and you get a tour of an upscale subdivision.
  4. We've managed to get away with 2 10' sewer hoses. I do like to have the right-angle connector on this and a support. 2 25' water hoses. Water pressure limiter. A Y-adapter -- I use mine to let off pressure and drain the hose. This year I need teflon tape as well. Maybe an adapter to fill the fresh water tank. I carry the electrical cord that's attached to the rig and a second one. I have a 15-30 adapter that I haven't used. Once stayed at a campground where they lent us a 50-30 adapter because they didn't have a 30 amp site. I put angled push-on connectors on the TV cable. We have a 5-page che
  5. I think it depends on how interested your kids are in animals. Remember that the animals all head back to the barn about 5:00 for supper. We tried an evening magic hour a couple of years ago and nothing was left but some of the rides -- even the eating places (for humans) had closed.
  6. We were at EPCOT one night when the tow vehicle came around. That thing is lit up like a Christmas tree!
  7. Are the horse cars still running? I didn't see one out all time we were there in January.
  8. We found that CAA (Canadian version of AAA) just sold tickets at the equivalent of the Disney price -- quoted in American $$ and converted (really bad when the Cdn $ was at .66) -- and didn't carry the variation we wanted this year (AP).
  9. On our trip this year, we stayed at: Monroe, MI KOA Corbin, KY KOA Cordele, GA Ocala, Fl (ex-KOA) on the return we stayed at St Augustine, Forsythe and Corbin. We winterized in Corbin and thrn drove straight home. The Ocala camp ground is now part of a business conglomerate and doesn't seem especially loved. :rofl2:
  10. We've come back that way -- after the Studios close with a stop to see Illuminations (now, was that after Fantasmic?)
  11. One of ours has been to FW 6 times, the other only 4. They are usually well behaved when travelling -- one will sit in the navigator's lap while the other lies on the floor between seats. Or they look out the windows. Or get up in the loft in their cases. One of them has managed to disappear a few times -- backs of cupboards and in or behind the sock drawer. Usually at FW we let them out in cages where they can watch the passing parade. This year we were in a site right next to the dog and pig walk. (You read that right!) I don't see a need for our being in the pet loop, but would be embarrass
  12. We like to have it. We really like to have a weather channel. Our set no longer gets off-air programs in the USA and we broke down and bought a small new unit, but it doesn't really satisfy.
