See... I didn't think they would. Mom and dad want to do a family DCL trip next year, with a few days before/after at the Fort. I need to find out if they'll let us keep our rig there.
They definitely have in the past.

I have used and referred clients to Camper Rental Adventures. They will come and set up the camper on your site and when you are down pick it up and take it away. They have a variety of sizes and pricing. Disney does not need to know. Once you hav eyour site number you let them know and they can then get it set up for you. You can still request in advance.

Here we go again. We started last December to make reservations for our yearly10 day stay at the Ft. (We stay Dec and March every yr for the last 20) No reservations in 12/2018. Eventually my TA was able to “start” reservations with 3 days. Between her and I, I have 7 of the 10 days. 12/1-12/4 and 12/8-12/11. Not panicking yet but getting a little nervous. How can anyone plan a trip without having the days in the middle? We go every yr at the same time with no problems till last yr. what are my chances of the 3 days opening up before thanksgiving?
That is typically Pop Warner weekend. It gets harder every year for Camping and values for that weekend. I will say I am seeing all types available for Dec 4-5 right now if you havent grabbed that yet.

Doug is having the same situation as well.

Why do you suppose the lines are shorter than the rest of the popular rides?
could it be that there is no FPs available for SR?
ive always thought that FPs make for much longer wait times in the stand by lines.
No idea. I havent been tracking the wait times for Smugglers Run. I do know they built quite a bit of capacity into it. Fastpasses do increase wait times for stand by. Just the nature of the beast.

Are they still controlling access to GE? I’ve been looking at wait times and the wait time for SR is shorter than just about every other popular ride at HS.
The virtual queue was only used opening day so far.

Fastpasses open at 7 am Eastern

At a guess I would say they discontinued the current one to make staging room backstage for the new one coming and so as pieces are completed they can start the process of testing in the environment it will be used in. After the ROL debacle I am sure they want to make sure the real new show is fully tested before rolling it out. This simpler in many ways show keeps a night time presentation while removing the use of the large barges and globe needed for Illuminations. Pieces of which may be intended for use in the new presentation.

Easy, book the campsite first, then shop around for a trailer rental. There is only "one" Fort, and about 1/2 dozen trailer rental companies.
And the campsite can be cancelled for a full refund with in certain time frames depending on how it was booked.

A friend was on board. 3 hours from stop time to getting off. Glad it wasnt mid day in July.

Campsites not included.

Doesn't apply to campsites. Figured I would get that out of the way.

What boat did you take from Epcot to HW studios?
I was thinking, on our next trip, doing the Skyliner from HW studios to Epcot also. I didn't know you could ride a boat between the two.
They run the Friendship boats from the International Gateway to the Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach club, Swan/Dolphin, and then Hollywood Studios. And in reverse.

It was really good. I think you will enjoy.

I like the looks and location of the Riviera better than the new Coronado monstrosity.
The Destino tower is honestly hands down my favorite moderate now. We enjoyed our stay there after Grand Floridian almost more than the Grand Floridian.

Hi Laura. Based on the dates you posted in your message, you might be there by now and have found some answers to your questions. Some additional thoughts for you:
There is a "Mickey's KItchen" restaurant over in the Comtemp. that offers dining with characters. Similar to, but not exactly the same as MBYBBQ.
Your son may enjoy a pony or horse ride at the Fort.
Also over in the Contemp., they offer a "Pirate Ship" cruise on the lake with the crew made up as pirates.
Hope some of this is helpful.

Those were the only ones that they accepted anyway, all the others you had to be there for drop off.
Correct.

Are there any changes to the "Placeholders" that they have offered in the past?
This applies to the placeholders and specific bookings made on board.
-
seeing mixed reports that this may only affect the "approved vendor" stroller and ECV people. No official word from Disney yet
-
Nope. They have been responsible for how many thousands of dollars in other peoples equipment? It was only a matter of time. They had already reduced the stroller and ecv rentals to a select few vendors.
