  1. Change is usually a bit melancholy, but I think a Mickey ride would be fun, too.
  2. Now my Odyssey looks so boring!
  3. Uh, oh. We usually request the 2000 loop because it is best for my special needs guy. In past summers it has been quiet - very quiet during the week.
  4. Thank goodness! I multiplied $15 by 27 nights and almost fainted.
  5. Ugh! Is there an extra fee at the Fort or are the sites to 10 adults. Does this mean I can bill him $15 a night at home?
  6. Here is something I had not considered. My son turns 18 this summer, so when he travels in the company of his parents he will still be considered an adult? I don't think I like this.
  7. Thanks for the info. Does that include the tent/pop-up loops?
  8. What is the deal with that trend? Actually, why are all the new attractions based on movies. DS and I were just trying to figure out when a new attraction was developed that was NOT based on a movie. We think it might have been Everest, but would love to hear other opinions. Be nice to see the "imagineers" put some imagination into the new attractions.
  9. I think the date is coincidence for Chick-fil-a, they usually do cow appreciation on Tuesdays.
  10. I have indigestion just looking at the picture.
  11. I am hoping to use this on our trip. Saves me the stress of wondering if my "elopement risk" is still seated at the table while I wait in line or off touring the park on his own.
  12. We had a dog in out tent loop last summer and I felt so sorry for him. He was basically alone all day, outside and cried a lot.
  13. We have visited once without my Mom and used the garage. You are correct that it is a short walk out of the garage, but my sense of direction is abysmal, so I think we walked much further than necessary to reach our desired destination. We generally go to visit Goofy's Candy Company, Lego, and the Christmas Shoppe and I am pretty sure that I walked in the exact wrong direction after "reading" the map. Then we became distracted by the Archimedes Screw and lost all of our bearings. We will be going again in our upcoming trip, so we will give the garages another shot before opting out.
  14. I would like to know about a drop off also. That would make things more "doable" for us. I forgot all about the boat ride - my Mom loves that.
  15. We used the preferred parking at Universal because we didn't want my 80+ year old mom to be walked out before we got into the park. It was a nice option and we had to pay anyway, but it was one day. The hard part about Disney Springs is that we have never found the bus service to be wonderful, so it is one of the places we frequently drive. It is very low on our list of favorite places to go, so parking charges and long walks to the places we want to go will definitely influence our decision to visit.
  16. You would think that they would care about offending those of us that spend money on their products.
  17. It is interesting that they will destroy an iconic attraction, but don't mind raking in the $$$ from movies with content that is much more politically incorrect.
  18. Hello and welcome: We have been to the Fort in the fall a few times and we have not experienced a huge problem with mosquitoes. Many others are there more frequently during that time period and will have better advise. My son is on the severe end of the spectrum and also has skin issues - he has a rare form of psoriasis - which flares when his body undergoes any kind of abnormal physical stress (including mosquito bites). We use sunscreen with a mosquito repellent and that seems to keep the pests away from him. We have seen deer, wild turkeys, armadillos, squirrels, lizards, and
