Yes the walls are up, and you can see from the marina that there is grass and weeds growing on the beach. I have photos of that which I will post on another thread.

We are not getting our beach back. The stuff on the other side of the walls will soon be an overgrown mess like River Country was when they let it sit and rot for all those years.

    That is really sad.....

2021 Walt Disney World tickets are now on sale for use dates out to Sept 26, 2021.

If you need tickets for a trip already booked for 2021 please consider purchasing through me. It does not cost you and more than buying them directly but I do get to make a little money off of them.

    Thanks

Hey Jason - We usually purchase annual passes closer to our trip.  Is that something you would handle and do you know if they will be available?  Thanks.

I'm so sorry.  I'm sure that news was very tough for him :(    Our cruise is scheduled for the first week in December, it's an anniversary trip for my parents and with my mother's health, she is concerned that if we don't go now, she will be unable to.   All that to say, I understand the disappointment and am so sorry for your (not so little) man.  I pray his birthday is blessed ❤️

Thanks for your kind words.  He is beginning to rebound and we are trying to figure out a new time to cruise.  I hope that everything is sorted out before your sailing date.

No time frame given as of now. They are allowing Park Pass reservations our to Sept 26, 2021 when the system opens. That cover AP, and UK, and the park ticket extension dates.

Thanks.  We have reservation for this summer (which we will most likely cancel), but are hoping we will be able to take our trip in November.

She will be sitting for a while longer.  We just got notification that our August 8th sailing has been cancelled.  Evidently,  they followed the guidelines of the cruise line association and have suspended sailings through mid-September.  I have a very disappointed 20 yo who saved for this trip for 2 years to celebrate his 21st birthday....

Based on the Orlando News stories I don't think they really know yet. All the Cruise Lines and the Port are getting more and more upset everyday with the CDC because of the no sail order and no additional info.

Thanks for the info.  My grandma always said "patience is a virtue."  Not sure she knew how much of it I would need.

We still have a drive-in movie theater near here - I think it's the last one in the state and one of only a handful in New England.  They play first run movies and we've been a bunch of times. The place is usually packed unless the weather is lousy. They reopened a week ago (reduced capacity so all cars are spread out) and sold out their first weekend in a flash.

There's another in MA that's finally being allowed to reopen Monday.  They've had their pretty robust snack bar open for takeout for a while now. They're celebrating the reopen for movies with a midnight (ok 12:01) movie Sunday night and I'm expecting they'll sell out as soon as tickets go on sale. They're also gearing up to host outdoor socially-distanced events like graduations and weddings.

We have a music/performance venue nearby that pivoted quickly from having to cancel all their shows, to working with the town to get permission to turn their pretty large parking lot into an outdoor, drive-in performance spot.  They had their first shows last weekend and they all sold out.  They've just released a whole new schedule full of shows for the next couple of months and word is they've been contacted by acts all over the country asking to book there since there aren't any indoor venues available.

When life throws you a big ol' pandemic lemon, you get creative and make some newfangled lemonade.

Good old American ingenuity at work....
