Just a quick note...we're in 1913 at the fort. Large storm blew through earlier. Completely fried our surge protector. Maintenance was just here making repairs. Who knows what would have happened without a surge protector. Bad part is for the time being, we don't have one...
-
I agree. But now it appears that our surge protector is fried. I'm not happy right now.
-
We're back. No damage, but no power either. Something kicked our surge protector, now it won't reset. Any bets on how long it takes for someone to come check it?
-
Anybody at the fort right now that can give a quick weather update? We're eating at Epcot. Pretty high winds just blew through here. Unfortunately we have our awning out and an easy -up set up. Just wondering if I should be concerned.

$396 - minimum - to take the family for 3.5 hours. Sorry, I'll pass...
Somebody go, write a TR, and tell me all about it.

DW told me she just wants a Disney gift card.
Ask, and ye shall receive...

banolte...how about the last couple digits of the serial number? At least if someone sees something, they can check it out. I will give no guarantees that the rider won't be scuffed up when I turn the bike over to check the number...

I am from the Bradford area. I have followed this forum for a while just never posted. Sad reminder of the world. Never gave the phone number a thought. I guess I am too trusting.
I knew it was somewhere in NW PA. I grew up outside of Warren.

I even lock up my cart. Some people look at me like I'm nuts. I don't mind,
banolte...814 area code...what part of western PA is home?
-
We're here. I'll be looking for it.

We saw these 2 today. Actually, it doesn't look too bad. The movements are pretty realistic. I was amused by the fact that they had to assign a CM to either side of its tail to keep people from getting their blocks knocked off. The tail is heavy and has a wide, apparently random swing. People were walking right up close, and getting whacked pretty good. Made for great entertainment!

We'll be there June 14th until July 7th.

Check your spare, too. Heck...make sure you even have a spare.
A spare you buy at your local shop during regular business hours will cost 1/4 what that same spare will cost after normal hours from a service along I-95.
Cheap insurance.

We have bands from our Halloween trip. All reservations for our Easter trip are now on them. Now we received an email telling us to customize our bands for our upcoming trip. I called the help number, and was told to order new bands and do nothing with them. Bring both sets, and "someone at the resort" would make sure everything was transferred properly. Yeah...right...
By the way, neither of these sets are our AP bands. Haven't addressed that issue yet...

If you're travelling through central PA and need anything RV related, jump off exit 173 of I-80 and see Bill at Bill's Happy Camper. He's a personal friend, and we have bought our last 3 units from him. Great selection of new and used units, and a great service department. Our new unit is still sitting is his lot, waiting for ice to melt so we can get it up our driveway.

Hannah returned late last night from a very successful trip to western PA. 4 events, 4 podium appearances. 3rd, 5th, and 2 8th place finishes. I couldn't be more proud. Her first competition at this level against hundreds of girls from 28 other teams. And she swims at this same age level for two more years!
-
Maybe I'm just an overly proud dad, but she doesn't look like a 9 year old swimmer...
BTW...that's about half way through a butterfly stroke. Kind of an awkward position.

Hannah (DD9) is headed to California University Saturday for Western PA district swimming. I knew she would be seeded very well in a couple of events. Probably top 10. Maybe even top 5. Seedings came out earlier today.
100 yard Individual Medley...seed position...#1!!!
I know how hard she has worked this year. I was so happy for her when I saw that, I almost cried.
She has a very good chance to place high in a couple events. Stay tuned for updates Saturday...

I just traded a 2011 F350 crew cab dually with 22k miles on it at a friend's dealership in central PA. It's in great shape. If anybody is in the market for a used dually let me know and I'll get you in touch with him.

Swim league championships yesterday. DD's 9 & 11 (Hannah & Morgan) swim 3rd and anchor legs for the 200 freestyle relay...the last event. Hannah hit the water in 4th place in an 8-lane pool. Reeled in the field so Morgan took over in 2nd. Still behind at the turn, Morgan charged back and out-touched the 2nd place team by 24/100 of a second! I have never seen or heard a swim crowd going that crazy. What a race...
On to postseason action. First stop, California University of Pa...

Just one, the other is the original.
Very nice work. I don't know which is which.
If other things don't work out, you may have a future in counterfeiting......

Nothing worse than getting wood at the fort and then not using it.
Dang! I couldn't stop myself. See what you guys have done?
-
Jacksonville North KOA. It's right on the state line, and an easy off/on for I-95. It's a regular stop for us on the way down.

I'm so proud of myself. I managed to control myself and avoid all the wood jokes that entered my juvenile brain. But I'm glad I get to read them and giggle now...
Importance of Surge Protectors - fka Ten Minutes is All It Took!!!

UPDATE....
Our surge protector is a Surge Guard Model 34730, 30 amp. According to the Disney maintenance guy, he's seen them before, and once they take a hard hit, they can take some time to "reset ". He suggested we unplug it for an hour or so, then try it again.
We laid it on the kitchen table overnight. Walked to an open site when I got up and tried it there. It appears to be functioning flawlessly. I'm going to call surge guard now and get some guidance from them. I'm thinking we're lucky we used a surge protector, even though maintenance says they're not necessary.
