Saw that story on the new very sad. -
A guy I work with has a 03 2500 chevrolet with a 6.0 that he uses to pull his passport. He is now thinking about getting the echo boost. I think his trailer may be 6,000lbs

I got the Tacoma for my wife because she puts a lot of miles on her truck and I was told a Toyota would run forever. We have several friends that sware by them. I know we will keep her Tacoma I am just not happy with it right now. Until ford came out with the echo boost I think Toyota did have the best half ton tow rating.
-
Man that's the truth my wolf pack is a parachute behind my truck. I have pulled heavier loads then my camper and never knew they were there. But I always know my camper is there.
-
I agree the payload is still not high enough in a halfton. I think it's around 1400lbs so if you got a 11,000lb trailer and 10 percent hitch weight 1,100lbs it only leaves you 300lbs for people and cargo in the truck. I wouldn't pull more then 6 to 8 thousand pounds with it. But for me I will stay with a f350.
-
That's what I was thinking. Her Tacoma gets 19 mpg and that f150 should do the same.
-
Right now I have a 05 4x4 f350 and I love it. Is my second super duty. My neighbor just bought a 2012 f250 he is on his 5th and loved them all.

Only problem my wife likes her truck.
-
I am not to happy with Toyota right now. My DW drives a 4x4 Tacoma. I noticed her front differential was leaking. They Said it was a seal. I told them it was more then a seal and they said no. Well they called me the next day and said a bearing came apart and they had to replace the whole differential. We have 59,200 miles on the truck and a 60,000 mile warranty so it was covered. But it turns out this is a common problem and cost over 2 grand to fix. One guy had it happen twice in less then 2 years. Another guy only had 10,000 miles on his truck and it happened to him. So I am ready to get r

Well how am I suppose to know if I should go buy one. LOL. I was looking at a 2011 f350 I found a pretty good deal on one. The warranty went out on my truck Friday. Everybody tells me to keep my truck. But I have that new truck bug. Does it do good with the 3.31 gear. I was wanting the 3.55 for the pulling power.

What are your mpg pulling your camper.

I think Dave wanted a Lemonade stand -
Arb makes one that I have been thinking about buying because they have a very low amp draw. Plus you can use it as a freezer. http://www.arbusa.com/Products/Fridges/20.aspx http://www.amazon.com/ARB-10800472-Fridge-Freezer-Quart/dp/B002Q1INDM

I grew up in ford vans that's all my dad would drive. But when GM redesigned there van in 97 ( I think it was 97 maybe 98 99) they won me over with the amount of leg room they have in the front. Being 6'2 leg room means a lot to me. My work van is a 2000 3500 gmc with a 5.7 203,000 miles on it same motor same trans and runs good. My next work vehicle will be a f150. -
