Kodiak anyone?
LONE-STAR replied to Mama Steph's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
The 10% rule didn't work very well on my toy hauler. We had to learn how to load it just right to keep the numbers in check. When we first bought it I put a scale under the tongue jack and loaded it to get it right. But the 10% rule worked perfect on my Dads TT. -

Most 3/4 ton trucks have around a 1800 to 2500 lb payload capacity. So if your truck is on the lighter side. Subtract the 800lb tongue weight from 1800lb payload capacity and it still leaves you a 1000lbs for everything else. One more thing that some people forget is to add the weight of the weight distribution hitch to your tongue weight. -
Another vote for tractor supply. That's where I got mine.

Pretty heavy trailer. Just make sure you have enough truck to pull it. -

Can you use a golf cart there and if so can you drive it to the beach? And is it a place worth driving 600 miles to spend a week.(keeping in mind we compare everything to the Fort) -
getting to Wilderness lodge
LONE-STAR replied to h2odivers...Ray's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I agree we would eat at our trailer less and go to the lodge to eat if they would let us take our carts over there. Not to mention there are 3 different ways you can get there on a cart. They should let us use at least one. Some times Disney over looks ways to make money that would make people happy. -

getting to Wilderness lodge
LONE-STAR replied to h2odivers...Ray's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Well it's accessible by golf cart it just against the rules to go down it. I really think they should allow carts to go over there. -
