  1. In 2014 we were in the 1800 loop with a comparable size setup and were able to get in with only minor setbacks. There was a trash can across from our site that came into play when backing but we were able to get around it. I did have to push someone's golf cart all the way into their site but other than that no issues.

  2. We were in the 900 loop last year and there was a group there that decided to turn it in to a "haunted loop" They had some decorations out that were more "universal like" and people to jump out and scare you. It was neat to see (the first time) but I'm glad they were on the other side of the loop from us. It appeared they had a half dozen or so out in costume scaring people.

But I've heard that name mentioned as a possible new head coach for Ole Miss.

It's crazy what some programs are willing to overlook.

I have seen it as well and just bewildered by that. I mean, he was 4-8 at La Tech before he was brought in to TN and placed on a stool in the sidelines....gah.

 Anytime!  Love for some Fiends to join us... Tom voted for TN.   I'm debating between Anchor Down (no shade, but I don't know that it will be super hot there at that time) or in Pigeon Forge.

I don't think you could go wrong with Anchor Down or something like River Plantation in Sevierville.

Edit: River Plantation is full that weekend and Anchor Down has 12 back-in sites available.

  5. I use wash wax all on ours and it does a good job of making the bugs easy to clean off. For pesky stuck on bugs I take a watered down dryer sheet and rub them off the front cap with that. The dryer sheet leaves a bit of a film on the cap but it's easily cleaned off with a rag or paper towel.

Sadly, this photo says it all. Fort Wilderness just isn't a campground anymore. It's a poorly designed parking lot with an annoying smattering of trees. It's just a sad reflection of modern suburban America.

I bet its only a matter of time before they fix that tree problem.

So true. Doesn't take much to set off dry pine straw.

I've wondered if any of the modern diesel engines could cause a fire if the conditions were correct. There are times where I turn my truck off in the middle of a regen cycle and my EGT's are well over 1000 degrees. I wonder what would happen if I parked my truck on some of that dry pine with a 1000 degree exhaust pipe. PS I would NEVER park MY truck off the concrete, that would be against the rules!

  7. Great pictures from The Fort, I never get tired of looking at those.
The people watching from the 2 parks (sorry catching up after a couple days away) looked to be quite entertaining as well. I'm going to have to figure out a way to pawn the children off on the wife for a couple hours on our next trip and people watch!

Bobby stopped by the house for happy hour.  He said you clowns have to find a hobby and stop listening to rumors.  He did, however, say that the out of date cars will be replaced with hybrids, the attraction will be sponsored by Toyota and each car will be complete with Takata air bags for safety since the non compliant kids keep bumping the cars.  It seems Toyota has a bunch of these airbags as surplus for some reason.

But what will they use to reproduce the smell?

Stopped by to read the responses to your surprise gift. I know how important this was to you and so glad that it worked out as it did. I'm not too surprised that the WL GM did it, just at how quickly it all happened. Long live Melvin.

WOW! A surprise appearance by the former bus driver!! Howdy, sir!

DIT - you think if you wrote them about your past issues with Snow they'd box her up and send her your way? Might be some sort of "fresh start" for the two of you.
