I'm in for the TR!
I've said it before but I love to see my "backyard" through other people's eyes. -

I've driven through that campground and would like to stay there sometime, but would like to stay in cold weather. Lack of trees but beautiful fireplaces and/or firepits at the sites makes me think I'd enjoy a Thanksgiving stay there sometime....or at least early November. Summer would be great if you are into water sports on the lake.
One thing that concerned me was the distance to GBurg from there. How long did that drive take? Did you go through PF or take a back route?
If you intend to do a trip in cooler weather be sure and check their website, they are not open year round.
Halloween weekend it was just under 2 hours to get from that campground to the aquarium in Gatlinburg. That was avoiding the parkway as much as possible. Traffic was bad....real bad.

Hey now!
Back when it was uncertain if the Gators would play LSU, and there seemed to be a chance we could back in to the SEC Championship game, I was against that.
But now that we can earn our way there fair and square, it's on.
TCD
Yep - fair playing field now that we are all playing the same amount of games :)
It's just frustrating as a VOLS fan to be "in the drivers seat" and go lay an egg against SC.... Oh well.
In other news our now former running back posted something yesterday about him leaving, here is the quote: " I understood the read option offense may not be the best fit for me, but I put that aside for my love of Tennessee and wanting to be part of a beloved program. While I had hoped for scheme adjustments to suit my strengths, this did not happen on a consistent enough basis. "I take that as the coaches didn't want to change the offense scheme to suit me so I'm going to take my ball and go home.

There has to be a story there. Why is he transfering?
UGA sucks big time. Hey, I know the game plan.... run up the middle, run up the middle, pass, punt. Sigh.
I'm sure we'll never know the real reason why he's moving on.
If you add a fumble or two in your playbook you could convince me that they have copied TN's playbook!3 hours ago, Tri-Circle-D said:I believe the Gators can beat Arkansas, and join Kentucky on the list of SEC East teams who have beaten SEC West teams this season.
Go Gata!
TCD
Go Arkansas, and Go LSU on the 19th :)
As much as I'd like the see the VOLS back in the SEC championship game I just don't see FL losing 2 games to give us the chance. Besides, I'm not sure I want to see us play Bama again...that was rough for us. -

Hard to believe that Kentucky has a better record in the SEC than Tennessee. I thought Tennessee was going to win it all, as projected by the talking heads at the start of the season.
Currently the wheels are falling off here at Tennessee, if we had an athletic director I believe our coach's seat might be heating up (sad to say). Moral around the team is pretty low, especially after that loss to SC.....after a bye week.
With our current 5 star, almost record breaking, running back transferring in the middle(ish) if the season people are starting to ask questions. This is our first "big time" player to transfer out, but others have this year. I dont understand how someone with potential NFL talent decides in his JR year that he wants to transfer away from UT, AND change positions to TE\WR. -
I happened to look at annual passes again last night and at the top of the page it says:
"Purchase this pass by January 3, 2017 and get 13 months for the price of 12!"

My money is on them handing out a flyer to Fort guests right before the 31st - maybe even ON the 31st.
You think that would be enough time for people to register to hand out candy?

They can't even be bothered to park in the site correctly, so why wouldn't they hang their poo-shoot on the grill?

Since Super Geek is working on the app update and I am making his life complicated by also asking him to digitize for Stitchworks too, he needs to have some help. So, I am offering some incentive for the 2100 loop information we need. Since I am not going to be at the Fort like I would like to gather said intelligence, I will need some Fiend help. So here it goes.
Any Fiend that can get me a quality shot of the new loop with the site empty and pm it to me will get a brand spanking new Fort Fiend white vinyl sticker sent straight to their house at no charge. You will get one for each picture.
Any Fiend that can get me BOTH the dimensions of the site AND the picture will get BOTH a sticker and a new 5 year anniversary shirt sent straight to their house at no charge. Again, one for each site.
I will post which sites I have as I get them on this thread. Are you up for the challenge? You can even trade in shirts for upgrades, like say....jackets, hoodies, you name it. I am game. I need intel.
Are you game?
I just PM'd you a link to my dropbox, it should have about 60 pictures in it for you.

PS - Tenn lost and didn't drop a spot?
21 hours ago, Tri-Circle-D said:Good point about Tennessee.
You know what I think it really is? They look at upcoming matchups and pump up some teams so the game looks bigger. Everyone in the media wins when there's big ratings for a matchup between ranked teams. And ratings mean more ad revenue. And, it's all about money these days. College Football is a gold mine. So, if they can bump FSU up 9 spots for one shaky win, that Clemson game suddenly looks a lot more enticing than it would if FSU was ranked where they belong- 25 or lower. And they can promote the Alabama v. Tennessee game as a "Top 10 matchup!"
TCD
Any other Saturday and we would have dropped a couple spots.

My condolences to the Tennessee Fiends. Coming back to tie the game and force overtime was impressive. But, that luck you've been enjoying all season finally ran out.
Also to the Tennessee Fiends- I really hope that the UF v. LSU game gets played. I don't want the Gators to back into an SEC East Championship. That would be very unfair and not right. Plus, there's no way this team has a chance against Alabama, so it's fine with me if y'all get to play them twice.
The comeback was impressive, it looked like there was no possible way to do it again, but we poked the ball out on that last (what should have been) A&M touchdown run. The more I watch these guys I'm starting to think it's more than luck as we went into that game missing 5 starters and lost 4 more during the game (3 concussions). We can finally start plugging in players to fill the gaps for once, that is a nice feeling. I don't like our chances going into the Alabama game missing 9 total starters, but at least we have them at home this year and MAYBE we can sneak one out.
I think the SEC will do something to get the game played between FL & LSU, it's just too big of a game with too many possible implications to not get played.

This could have serious implications on the SEC Championship. I know LSU missed a game just last year, but it was a non-conference game so it did not matter. This could make a mess of both the East and West. They should have just moved it to Baton Rouge. LSU has been known to paint the field in the colors of the original home team when things like this have happened in the past. And no one can host a better hurricane party than Louisiana, except for maybe Florida.
And I hope everybody is coming through this storm OK.
This scares me... If Tennessee loses to A&M, and Bama AND FL runs the table they would end up as east champs. The VOLS would be 6-2 and FL 6-1.
Now, if the VOLS go take care of business this will not be an issue, if we can go 1-1 in the next 2 games it won't be an issue.
Hopefully both teams will buy out their games scheduled for November 19th and they will play then. -
I know from reading here that the online checking process has changed recently, but unfortunately I have not see it since it changed.
Hopefully someone will be along soon and will be able to answer your question.
Oh, and WELCOME to the group! -

We are on 75 heading toward Atlanta. Will be a long day.
I think that might be the best route. The 100 miles might add a couple hours but I bet that will be faster than waiting in traffic on 95 and\or 26.

Is there someplace you could keep a running list of site numbers you need info for? I'd be glad to do what I can while we are there in a couple weeks, but don't want to duplicate any info to you and cause any extra work

Thank you for posting these!

Oh trust me, I am enjoying it and will continue to as long as I can. It's been really hard the last several years to be a VOLS fan. It's nice to see some close ones start going our way for a change.

It will be very interesting to see how y'all play on the road at Texas A&M.
And everyone will be watching that Bama game.
A&M scares me more than Bama....at least we know what the outcome of Bama will likely be. My biggest hope for the A&M game is that 1. we have some of our injured defensive players back 2. We don't get any more injuries. Our defense is absolutely depleted right now missing 3 All-SEC defensive players. The VOLS "come from behind" luck can't keep going forever, heck it almost ran out on Saturday but with a key missed review by the refs, our luck stayed alive.

Thanks for posting your thoughts on this place. If we can make it that far I'll give it a shot for an overnight stop, but I'm not sure we can make it that far in one day. That would be 600 miles for us the 1st day and I just don't think that would make for a good day in the truck with 2 little ones. But I will drive as long as they are happy
