I wonder if this will be permanent or if the will update with more "theming" at the resorts?
From what I can see currently all beaches have this same fence. -
More good grub this past weekend. Did 2 racks of baby back ribs for fathers day at my wife's request :)
The rack on the left is dry rub only, and the rack on the right has dry rub and finished with a touch of sauce at the end.

Another fantastic report. Thanks for taking the time to snap the pics and share them with us.
I do hope you got to go on the new ride, I'm anxious to hear reviews on it. -
uhhh....thats not good!!

I procured some new flavors and had to test them out. Last night I ended up throwing on a couple of pork loins to test out the new rubs, it ended well :)

We use a mesh tarp and have had good service out of it, and the price was hard to beat. This is similar to what we use: Clicky
It attaches to our awning with these hooks: Another Clicky

it is full hookup, with cable and Wi-Fi. There is a playground but I cannot remember if there is a pool. It was a chilly weekend when we were there so a pool wasn't on the list of things to do :)

Thats pretty neat!

Another vote to stay at Desoto State Park. I have been there exactly 1 time (for a GG) and have been itching to get back since. Unfortunately for us right now, life keeps us from any long weekends of camping.

IN!
Happy Birthday to the twins! -
We got to do a little more cooking this weekend.
10lb brisket
Chicken quarters and sausage:

Thanks for the updated pics.
I'm curious to see how these sites look when completed, especially with the addition of the "bump out" for the picnic table. -
It looks like it's on the way: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/15745318/baylor-bears-dismiss-football-coach-art-briles
Also, his Twitter account is gone.

Looks like ol Art Briles will be searching for work. I wonder how long it takes him to land somewhere?

I think Casey Jones is one we've stayed at before?
We stayed at Casey Jones last year and it is a short drive to the fort from there. The only thing I didn't like was the grassy area for the overnighters, there were a LOT of ant hills there and if it had been raining it could have made things interesting when leaving in the morning. This was our site last year:

And those cabanas they're building are going to be the Cabanas at Copper Creek.
Which means they're going to have to make themselves a creek, I guess.
It sounds like there will be more TCD visits to the Wilderness Lodge in the immediate future.

And that is that.
See you on the next TR.
TCD
I wonder if they will use the recently found\discovered mine cars for a "copper mine" theme?

Go Vols.
I need a good year from them...NEED it!I like our schedule this year and currently have September 24th circled on the calendar.

Thanks for the info, I might have to give 1200 a harder look this trip.

The sites around 1209 do have more noise due to busses approaching the 4-way stop. I guess it depends on what kind of rig you have as to whether you hear the noise.
I ask cause the girls sleep in the bunks in the back, which would be closest to the road. We have one that can be a light sleeper so extra noise could be a problem. Of course, she seems to sleep right through the fireworks but wakes up when I drop a red solo cup on the carpet....go figure.

Is the road noise bad in that part of the 1200 loop?
We were in 1300 last year and noticed some of the sites in 1200 looked really nice, but wasn't sure if it would be loud being backed up to the road. -

So I made some reservations today....will be at the Fort Sept 19 thru Oct 2, but will arrive at Thousand Trails Orlando on Sept 4th and back there Oct.2-23rd. A total of 7 week's in the area so I think we may go for the annual Pass rather than the 10 day Park Hopper ticket. This way we won't have to rush........and it will give us plenty of opportunity to explore whats taken place in our 20 year absence.
Plus with the annual pass you will get free parking, that will be nice while staying offsite

Hmm... I just noticed something. I first used my ticket on April 29, but didn't upgrade to an AP until April 30. From what I understand, that should have made my expiration April 29th, right? I just looked in MDE and it's showing and expiration of April 30. :)
Ours did the same thing from upgrading in Oct of 2015.

Thanks for taking the pics and sharing with us.
Looking forward to bonus material! -
We experienced it for the first time last year (just to check it off our list) and had a good time. But, with a now 4 year old and 5 year old that have a hard time staying up that late and being decent little people the following day there is no way will we do it for a while. Add the prices on top of that and any inclination I had of doing it again now is gone.
Don't get me wrong, we had a good time last year and both girls had a blast. But, last trip we only had to pay for 1 kiddo so the price was a little easier to swallow considering we left after the Boo To You parade.
