This is great information which of course I share with the entire BuckeyeFortFamily. I now have an excited 9 year old boy who is determined to finish 2 slices of lumberjack pizza, 3 loaves of cinnamon bread and ride the Firechaser Express. Thank you fellow fiends, making vacations better for years now!

I'd do the Firechaser first

I big wish is that one day we can stay at the Fort long enough to get tired of it.  Maybe winter here

Wouldn't that be fantastic? Just having several months to come and go as you please and take it all in at your own pace...

The explanation I heard is that they wanted to fire him last season, but he won some games at the end and got fan support behind him. They didn't want that to happen again this year, so they fired him the first chance they got.  Seems like a very short-sighted thing to do.

And, who do they think they're going to replace him with?  The Houston coach?  I doubt it.  I heard Lane Kiffin's name mentioned.  That would serve them right.

I had heard the same thing, but wasn't sure how reliable it was.
I have heard Art Briles' name thrown around as well as Kiffin again not sure sure how reliable that is. I do think that Kiffin will end up as a head coach again.....somewhere. I just hope he fails again

Obviously, those games make or break your season.  Getting behind 21 points to the Gators and coming back like you did could move your team to another level.  It will be interesting to see how you do on the road at Georgia.  The way the tiebreakers work, that game is a must win for you.

    TCD

Yep, it's definitely a huge game for us at this point. We did the same thing to VA Tech, spotted them some points and then rattled off forty some unanswerd points. Luckily we were able to do the same this weekend.
I will say this....the punt returner did us some favors on Saturday. The fumble at the 2 (that we couldn't do anything with) and the fair catch at the 1 yard line REALLY helped us.

On another topic-can anyone believe that LSU just up and fired Les Miles like that?

I guess they really wanted him gone.

It seems like they are guaranteeing that they will struggle for the rest of this season.

That did seem odd. I don't follow their program at all but I didn't think they were that bad off.

Y'all need to get your stuff together and beat Tennessee when they come to visit you next week.  Tennessee has to play Texas A&M and Bama.  It's not hard for me to see them losing two SEC games.  If they do, then y'all are right back in the SEC East race.

All 3 of these games scare me, especially since our team is so dang unpredictable.

On paper, our defense is great this year. But we haven't played anyone yet, so who knows how good they really are?  We will find out on Saturday.

The only thing that gives me any hope is that Tennessee has looked very beatable in all of their games so far this season.

    So, Go Gata.

    TCD

And you wont this weekend either... We are going to go out again and stink it up in front of all of our 102,000 fans. I will say this, the first couple of possessions for FL I can promise that Neyland Staduim will be rocking and hopefully that might throw that kid from Purdue off a bit. But as history has shown we are great at making a questionable FL quarterback and make him look like a superstar.

    Go VOLS.

Three out of the four states we have to travel through.

You wont have anything to worry about, diesel availability is normal.

Here in East Tennessee we are seeing a bit of a shortage at smaller stations. The larger places around here are doing just fine, even after all the silly people ran out and filled up everything that would hold gas. Prices are up just under a dime\gallon here but I expect that to fall quicker than normal once all the hysteria calms down.

Checked in last Wednesday and they are no longer giving out the spray.  They just provide a notice to use a repellant.

Good to know, thanks for the update.
We will be sure and pack plenty of our own for the trip in Oct. Our youngest daughter is a mosquito magnet (more so than me) and at any given time can have 15 - 20 bites on her if we don't keep some sort of repellent on her. I'm ready for it to cool off so those silly things will start to die off.

You're right! LOL! I didn't think about that.

Man, Georgia escaped one at Mizzou. That was rough and more stressful than it should have been. I'm just happy with the win though. I knew it would be a battle. I'm also happy that in all 3 games we've played, our boys haven't quit. That's not something I've always been able to say. I was pleasantly surprised with Eason's poise with the game on the line. He wasn't perfect, but he performed well under pressure, especially for a true freshman. Our kicking game though, painful! I don't understand why kickers aren't offered scholarships when they're so important to many games.

That was a good game to watch for sure.
I think that people might have underestimated Mizzou. Weren't they picked below  SC and Vandy this year in the SEC?

For us it's that time again for our annual whipping by Florida. I really hate that the Del Rio got hurt this past weekend, it sucks to see any of these kids go down with injuries....even if they are playing for your rival. My only hope is that Neyland Stadium will make a difference, if the folks there will get loud and stay loud it could be a big difference in the game I think.

Thanks.  Yes, closer is better as Gainesville (without any major traffic) is only about 6.5 hrs from us.  I can drive the full trip in one day, but my preference is to arrive at the Fort around 9a so we can bike around and scope out sites :)   Stuff at the stopover CG doesn't matter as I'm only really considering a stop vs boondocking because of the warmer temps.  I've now found a KOA (Wildwood KOA) that's only about an hour from Disney; that might be the way to go.  Price difference is $25 Casey Jones vs $35 KOA.

I'll have to lookup that KOA for our trip in a few weeks. We're going to make it is far as we can the first day with Casey Jones being the loosely planned stopping point. If we can make it farther than that I'd like to keep driving for sure.

Thanks.  Trying to decide if we should stop there or earlier at Eagles Roost RV.  Eagles Roost will add 1.5 hrs in the morning but... it looks like it might be a better place for us to stop (Tom is flying down on Saturday, so it will just be the kids and I).  Eagles Roost has a pool, which would be nice to wear the kids out before bed.   Not sure about Casey Jones.

We have stayed at both and I prefer Casey Jones due to it being closer....and a shorter drive the 2nd day.
Not sure if it makes a difference to you but there is more "stuff" at the Eagles Roost exit... There are a few food options if you decide to unhook to go get food as well as a Camping world in case you need something from them.

Was this their light night arrivals spot?  We'll usually boondock at Cracker Barrel however, temps are still pretty high right now which means that it could be dangerous to leave the pup in the truck for dinner and a tough night sleeping b/c it's hot.  Casey Jones has late night pull through sites for $25; we might stop there for 8 hours.

I'm really not sure if that's where we were or not. We got there before the office closed and that's where they escorted us to. I just looked on Google Maps and there is another section that has a bunch of pull through's farther back from the office\entrance area.

Those pine needles can also go up in flames pretty quickly on a hot day with a hot exhaust system.

I was wondering the same thing. That could be bad for my truck if I were to park it while it is going through a exhaust cleaning cycle. The exhaust gas temps get close to 1200 degrees when that is going on so I can only imagine the aluminum from the exhaust is fairly warm as well.

On the other side of things, Looks like Florida has found itself and should be able to take care of Tennessee for the SEC east title. (Sorry Kelly)

For the record I'm not real happy about that either, but I think you are right.
We have started SLOW this year...again. We returned 17 starters from last year, and our O line performed fantastic last season. However so far this year they seem to have forgotten how to black all the people coming at them at once.

Most of the time, I go with easywdw .  He is pretty spot on.  However, I read somewhere (forgive, me I can't remember where) that they were all having trouble predicting this year.

In the past 2 years I had used Josh's as well but he hasn't updated them since earlier this year. He gave an explanation in the forums on his site, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

EDIT: I found the post on his forum: http://www.easywdw.com/forums/showthread.php?33926-April-2017-Crowd-Calendar&p=368377&viewfull=1#post368377
