  1. :tool: We just received our "FF" sign and wonder what most use for the stand to put on your lots ? Any suggestions appreciated. DH has the mickey lamp post finished except for the base, still thinking of best thing to use that will store underneath easily.
  2.  I always have the frozen spaghetti sauce as well. Try the Hillshire Farms Smoked sausages, whatever type you like, smothered with green peppers and onions. I use the Pepperidge Farms soft hoagie rolls. Yumm and the aroma drives your neighbors nuts ! Also for a quickie try trimming small strips of steak or chicken in a little olive oil, cover and simmer until done. Add Ragu sauce (of your choice) I use the garden vegatable-simmer until meat tender. We serve over rice, but you could use pasta as well. Crunchy bread & salad ! Mama Mia ! I also make a veggie pizza using the
  3.  Don't know if this is appropriate to post, but I am so excited about this place in N. C. about 30 miles from our home. While in Petsmart yesterday there was an adoption fair going on. As most dog lovers would do, I was drawn to all the beautiful dogs there looking for "forever homes". In talking with the lady there I learned this is a private rescue that was started by RV'ers, and she was a full-time RV'er in the past. They have volunteers needed and also weekend RV'ers for helping out. The place is only about 30 miles from the beautiful Crystal Coast of NC (Emerald Isle) an
  4. I see. Think we had something to that effect slipped under our door at Wilderness Lodge before. Thanks !
  5. Forgive me for my lack of knowledge. What are "Bounce Backs" ? If it is a discount of any type, we have never got any break on CG, even with our annual passes. Seems like the Fort should give something to us "Fiends", doesn't it ?
  6. This past May we were on the lot directly beside the "pet walk" by the canal on loop 700. One of our neighbors reported an alligator in the canal spotted, but we never saw it. Our 2 Toy Fox Terriers love the walk by the canal, so many new smells and sights. They also are much calmer and quiter after a long walk there. So am I, as a matter of fact ! Unfortunately our 2 little guys love to be loud with their yaps as other pups go by. We are trying to get them more used to seeing other "furry guys go by", and they are getting better. Just hope our neighbors don't get frustrated with their nois
  7. I love the flying pup ! We both feel if God made anything better than dogs, He surely kept it for Himself ! What joy they bring into our lives. We have 2 Toy Fox Terriers, Minnie & Mickey who make every day an adventure. Our love for our dogs years ago also got us into camping so we would not have to leave part of our family when we went on vacation.
  8. It is soo exciting to get that brand new camper ! Many happy trips ahead for you
  9. Our Mickey & Minnie are both chipped too. We have had the experience of finding 2 dogs and taking them into a vets-hence being returned to their families. I am sold on it completely !
  10. Am taking in in to the dealer this week since we are still under warranty. The booster battery not kicking in is also a mystery and the unit is not even a year old yet. Heard from a friend who had similar problem in a Lincoln Navigator and took forever to get to the problem. The dealer kept it 2 or 3 days for diagnostics and the problem was in the rear seat audio controls. There was a short in the wiring back that was continuously draining the battery. Just one of those crazy things. Am anxious to have it solved as I do not like the idea of being stranded.
  11. I switched to the Blue Buffalo too, after the contamination scares. With my MinPin I had before, Iams Fish and Potatoes worked well. She was a gulper and was prone to throwing up. My Vet suggested it and it worked well for 14 years of her very active years, plus she loved it. I do like the idea that I can pronounce all the ingredients in the Blue Buffalo and no corn. No way am I going the "raw " route with dogs who sleep in my bed and live in my house. I know it is debatable with vets and owners, but I agree that dog is no longer a wild undomesticated animal. Their digestive systems have cha
  12. That looks terrific ! How creative you are, and I love the swish !
  13. We have a 2010 Newmar Canyon Star, still under warranty for another month. I have an appointment to take it into the dealer for diagnostic, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem. The battery keeps running down and might be completely dead when I try to start, even the "booster" battery does not help. Just this week we left here in an evacuation from "Irene". It started fine here, but we stopped about 50 miles from home, cut off switch for about 30 minutes-then dead as a doornail !!! We called for a jump-start from AAA and off we went, got set up at CG for couple of days and
  14. We have stayed at Green Acres in Walterboro SC. It is not as far South as you wanted, but it does have large pull thru, pool, and visible from I-95. Close restaurants and attractions, although we just use it as an overnite stay. Check out the website.
  15. We just came back from evacuating for hurricane Irene and found everything safe and sound at home. The RV park we went to is RVacation RV Park, Selma/Smithfield NC, just off I-95 @exit 98, easy off and on, plus many restaurants and attractions nearby. The facilities are excellent, large lots(mostly all pull-thru) The staff were very accomodating and helpful, pet friendly, free wireless internet, We would highly recommend this as a nice stay over on the way to the Fort !  Check out the website www.rvacation.us
  16. Congratulations ! Nothing more exciting than getting that new one, except maybe that first trip ! Keep us up to date on that.
