  1. We too, use the small can under the sink for garbage and take it out daily, since the hot water heater is also under the sink. Ugg! Also there are just the 2 of us, unless the grandkids are with us, and my theory of putting things back after you are finished with them especially applies to living in the RV. Also, we have 2 dogs with us, but we deal with dog hairs at home with spot vacuuming every other day. Hey, we have been married for 48 years this year and so realize that a "spotless" house is worth what ? Enjoy this vacation and have a major cleaning project when you get home. Life is sho
  2. We are doing the same thing, trying to get the 25th and 26th, so we won't be traveling on the holiday. I was told to keep calling and maybe it would become available. Also we will be in Premium and do not want to move for 2 days. I am going to give Rhonda a try as well. Good luck to you !
  3. Really enjoyed your post. I wonder if Hilda could help us get 2 more days added to our Dec. trip to the Fort ? We have to check out on the 24th and I have been calling and calling to try to get a couple of more days, so not traveling on Christmas Eve and Day. Reservations say they have nothing available.  We have met her at the Fort, but I do not know how to contact her. Does she have a web site or online contact ?
  4. So sad ! I saw this in our local paper, as we live on the NC Coast, about 90 miles from this crash. I can only imagine how much fun this family of Grandparents, grandchildren, and children had during their Disney trip. And how heartbreaking for the surviving family. We will have them in our prayers.
  5. I agree that taking the extra dish with you is a good idea. We keep one in the RV even though we have the Direct that came with the Newmar Coach. So far we have not had to use it at the Fort in the 700 Loop, but have uses it at other Camp Grounds. Looks like you have a great lot if that is your rig in the pic, so I would hold on to that if I could !
  6. It is my understanding the the discounts vary and are posted as they come up. We subscribe to the All Ears.Com newsletter, and they send all sorts of info to us about Disney goings on. The annual pass will be from the date you actually activate it at the park, so if you buy it ahead of your trip you will still have 366 days of use. We bought ours earlier than our trip to avoid the price increase that was coming up. Look on allears and you might find the typical discounts available.
  7. I had the same problem sever calls now, for AP or AAA discount on premium lots for Dec. trip. Nothing showing up for now, but I will keep trying and hoping to get lucky.
  8. Sounds like a fair trade to me and you are smart to book for 2012 already if you can. There is nothing but tent sites left for 26th-New Years, so I was told, when we wanted to extend our stay this Dec. 2011. Anyway we will enjoy what we have and I will call everyday begining Nov.1 should anyone cancel.
  9. Wish we had this much info before our first trip. Even now it is great work. Thanks !
