Sounds like you did the right thing to me.

Full-timers as of June 1st, and are spending our first full Winter in Florida. We had a week at the Fort already planned (arriving Sunday!), and had planned to stay in Brooksville the other 3 months. Turns out we found a spot just 20 minutes from WDW, so we decided to use my retirement gifts to upgrade to an AP!
Even though a lot of what doesn't open till 12/6 will probably be in previews next week, now we won't have to agonize over what we can and can't do next week. Sometime during the next 3 months we should be able to hit everything new. (Well, maybe not dinner at Be Our Guest without an ADR, but that might work out also...)
We'll also be able to catch the beginning of Flower and Garden, and the end of Food and Wine if we come down earlier next November instead of after Thanksgiving.
Growing up in the 50's we've been Disney fans forever (one of our best days ever was still our first trip to Disneyland the year after we were married), and the thought of being able to come and go as we please - even if just a few hours at a time - just sounds really cool.

4 days till the Fort!!!!!

We too, use the small can under the sink for garbage and take it out daily, since the hot water heater is also under the sink. Ugg! Also there are just the 2 of us, unless the grandkids are with us, and my theory of putting things back after you are finished with them especially applies to living in the RV.
Also, we have 2 dogs with us, but we deal with dog hairs at home with spot vacuuming every other day. Hey, we have been married for 48 years this year and so realize that a "spotless" house is worth what ? Enjoy this vacation and have a major cleaning project when you get home. Life is short !

Boil up some Sauerkraut and throw in some Kielbasa ... you won't worry about the smell of bacon! :rofl2:

Cook a big vat of Cabbage, that should take care of it!

Did you remove the vent filter and soak it? That could be holding in some odors.
Once you are sure everything is cleaned, fabreeze all soft surfaces, and then place a bowl of charcoal on the counter. Baking soda also works. They absorb odors.
If that doesn't work, give me a call. For a small fee I can replace your bacon odor. Can't eliminate it, but I'll leave something else in its place.

Fry some fish up, that will definitely get the bacon odor out, but you may have a new problem.
