Nooooooooooo!!!! That was my brother!!!!!

H is now home for a long break. A whole week! :jumpforjoy:
I am very sure that when he goes back to move the camper he will have a moment of sadness and remembrance for all of our wonderful memories in the hayfield at Stagger Lee Music Park.
Ok... I know that was being a little sappy, corny, melodramatic etc... but in a way it will be true. We did have some fun there and even more fun trying to make it fun.
When he heads back for GA next week, he will move to a new Field of Dreams and we will begin a new Hay-venture. Stay tuned! Same time... new field. ;D

I think most people that see that site think it's a little much.

I just don't have words to say how very much I NEEDED this trip! I was feeling very overwhelmed and stressed when I got the invite and had so many twists and turns in life that I wasn't sure if I'd be able to go until literally about a week before. It was sooooo wonderful not to have even one single care or responsibility for an entire 4 days. While I don't drink (it is written), ;D :rofl2: I was able to completely let my hair down and cut loose for one wonderful weekend with the most wonderful wild womenz I could ever have the pleasure to know. We laughed, cried, shared, bonded, laughed, laughed, laughed and laughed. I love you gals with all my fiendish heart and look forward to many more WWW's!!! This is one weekend that truly was a barrel of fun!

Check. Ok we're on the bus bound for DTD and everyone is wearing a matched set of shoes.
The gals were determined to PROVE to me that there was more to DTD than the Lego Store. I had my doubts. :rofl2:

Sunday Morning during our coffee/laughfest we spotted this turkey on his way to Donnie's site where it hung out for quite a while. Jen says he was looking for his leader. I dunno. I didn't say it... just reporting the facts. ;D

Remember earlier when I said that Carol and Missy could make it on the WWW but that we had 2 surprises in store? Then miraculously Carol just showed up! Wellllll...... time for me to reveal the 2nd surprise.....

It's Missy!!!! :yay: Her mom was feeling better and Missy was able to make it for the remainder of the weekend. For those of you who may not know Missy is Total Joker's wife and one great fiend. aka Harlie Quinn (hope i got that spelled right)

Donnie popped over for a little visit while Kristin was getting ready for the day.

And here she is! Sweet Kristin. If I may say she blended very well with the group. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her.

We decided to take the bus to DTD rather than drive, well, at least half of us did. The other half would meet us later.

Since we are supposed to follow our leader and she DID stick her tongue out...

Due to wild screaming... um... laughter, I didn't get anymore photos until evening. No worries, I am pretty sure Carol and Jen will have the afternoon and more of the evening covered.
I am somewhat drawing a blank but at some point Lorna cooked chicken and Ami's pasta salad from lunch was brought back out along with many other goodies and soon the picnic table was filled with a feast!
WWW memory loss is happening here. I am not sure what happened next or if this is in or out of order but this is the next photo I have.
I do know that Lorna took a nap and Christy the mild mannered southerner was sent in to awaken Lorna the bawdy New Yorker so that we could head to Bay Lake for Wishes! :bugeyes: I will leave further comment to the other WW.
Lorna finally got up and dressed and the hilarity ensued.

Apparently Lorna slept a little hard and was confused when she woke up. :rofl2:
We had a little bit of time before we needed to head out for Wishes so we did what we do best....






I have a bit of advice here. If you would like to see Wishes from Bay Lake... leave your campsite before 10:10 p.m. Otherwise you only hear the last three or four notes and a big bang. BAM! Just dropped a little knowledge on you. ;D
Oh well. It was still fun and we were among girlfiends. Of course laughter followed. Our GC drivers decided we should try to find Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo... as she had dropped by on day one to let us know where she was. Of course, as luck would have it, she wasn't home. Sooo we went on another fiend hunt and ran across these two cuties.

That's right! Our very own Wannabeimagineer and the Camping Princess!!! If you think they are cute in their photos wait till u see them up close! Have mercy! Way to much cuteness going on there... and sweethearts to boot! It is highly likely we were pretty overwhelming but fun was had and we enjoyed our visit... whether they did or not! :rofl2:

Earlier in the TR I mentioned that after we got back from WDW we took a weekend trip to the beach to mooch a spot for our tent visit my parents. Lil H went ahead with them . Here he is as we were about to take him to their house. He was definitely ready for a little R n R at the beach.

Here are the fries we got for Gabe on our way down a few days later.

KFDad and I were the first up and at 'em. He knew I wanted to see the sunrise and decided to join me. (No. He wasn't wearing plaid shorts/pants or loafers) ;D But even though he was wearing normal looking clothes it was nice to spend the morning just me and my dad watching a beautiful sunrise. :)




This one may be one of my FAVE photos of Gabe EVER!!! That kid is like a dolphin! Absolutely LOVES the water! Both of the boys do!

Here is a broad view of the beach. You can just see Hunting Island Lighthouse in the distance. Talk about a lifetime of memories made at this beach! Wow!

Notice the teenager dragging a float out of the water. That thing was cool! It was a huge circle that could be anchored. They left it out there all day and just went back and forth hanging out, diving off etc. I think I need one of those. (hint hint to H)

Day 10 The Rest of the Bike Tour

Since the bunny wasn’t in the mood to make friends…
I went over for a good look at the famous cabin.



Now it is all starting to sink in.
The reason people like this spot so much.
It is the most peaceful place in all of Fort Wilderness.
And the view is fantastic!!!

I don’t know why, but when I took this shot I felt like I was going to get in trouble. Like I was somewhere I wasn’t supposed to be. Weird. J

Was this once a volleyball net? I remember the beach used to be a really happening place at one time. There were lounge chairs from one end to the other! Good times.

As you can see I am nearing the marina..




Back to civilization.

I may have mentioned it before..
But I loathe the new Settlement Trading Post sign. Again.. Fort Wilderness management, Booo!!!

But I am pro Clover King wagon.


The V.I.P. cabins. KFDad scored one of those a few years ago. Go KFD!


I love this GC path. Always have. I wish they still had the piped in music. Again.. Boo!

Due to time and a mental image of H with a crazed look on his face and the camper in ruins around his feet, I decided to head back to Quail Trail. :rofl2:

On the way I snapped this photo of the new 5er in the 700 loop. We all know who this is…

I love bike riding at the Fort.




Back on Quail Trail. You can just make out our site. There’s a FF sign beside our truck.

As I got closer to our site I noticed that there was no screaming, yelling, loud thuds, etc. and the camper was still standing. Go H!! Whew! :rofl2:
And that concludes KFK’s bike tour of a lifetime. This is something I fully intend to make time to do on every visit from now on.
Next time I’ll make sure to venture to other places I’ve never been before.
Before I conclude this update I want to recommend that if you are able, get on those bicycles and pedal all over the Fort. As much as I love having a cart when we’re there, you really do miss a lot of the details that make Fort Wilderness so great.
It is a fantastic feeling riding with the curves of the bike paths and hitting the little bumps in the road…
Or being able to stop and take a moment to fully absorb something that catches your attention.
You tend to slow down a little more and take it all in. I know I enjoyed it a ton!
It’s good exercise too.
I love the Fort.
I can’t remember what is coming up in the next installment but it’ll be something. I just don’t know what. :rofl2:

Bro does look a lot like Gabe in that photo. In fact he looks like other photos I have of lil H as well. There are photos of me that look similar to that as well. We definitely have the family resemblanc thing going on.
