  1. I have two bottles of Cathead Honeysuckle stashed away for lemonade. But to be honest I think Doodle's punch was the bomb dot com.

I am going to look for Biohazard tape or Radioactive tape. We had a near accident with the lemonade, my fault since everybody knew about Doodle's punch and mine was new. I think we should mark the pitchers with clear adults only.

I'm going to bring kid friendly punch too. Something fun with dry ice so they don't feel left out.

I've been thinking about Halloween for three months. We live so rurally, the fort is our time to really do it up.

  2. Reservations are necessary. They fill up fast. I loved it and I am extremely picky where I let my dogs stay.

We leave them during the day and pick them up at night except for this Halloween. They're spending the night that week. Too much candy in too small of a space.

  3. Amen! Honestly, I don't mean to offend anyone here on this board, but this is just such a bizarre fad to me. It's almost like a mass hysteria. If the tattoo were temporary -- if you could wear it for as long as you like and then easily remove it -- I could easily understand it. But it's permanent. It's going to be on your body when you're laid to rest in your casket. It's like wearing a really, really loud outfit from the 80s every single day for the rest of your life. Surely, folks must realize the tattoos will eventually go out of style, yes?

I am beginning to agree. I want to remove the one people can see. I'll live with the rest.

  4. I would love to go.  But nobody in their right mind who knows me has agreed to it.

I've seriously freaked out, bat guano crazy town kind of freaked out and took whole exhibits with me.

So okay, I tore down my first school house haunted house when I was in kindergarten.  When I was 17 and did it for the last time with my mother, that's when I was no longer welcomed at haunted houses with my family members.

Some where, some time, when I wasn't present, somebody gave my husband an instruction manual because he said "NO!" the first time I asked. Now, if they didn't give him an instruction manual, how did he know?

    *sighs* Halloween Horror Nights, someday.

  5. The most danger you're likely to be in at WDW is getting run down by a rogue ECV or hummer-sized stroller.

Although I suppose if you're riding the tea cups with Nicki or Nicole you're also in danger of the thing flying off and launching into orbit...

Our firearm never leaves the truck when we are at Disney. I know there are many places where people don't expect violence and violence happens... But...

There are so very few places that are magical and special. It goes against everything rational to say it will never happen at Disney but sometimes... Sometimes you have to have faith and live like a kid. Saying I feel unsafe at Disney takes away everything that makes it special. Short of federal buildings and schools, it's one of the single few places we actively do not carry.

  6. I am all for the right to carry. But, this guy should have been more responsible. A loaded gun should not just be stuck in his pocket. He should have had it harnessed.

    Bingo!

I do occasionally pocket carry. They have actual pocket holsters. But that's a walk in, walk out situation. My mall is ground zero for violence during weekends and nights but I'm still leery during the day. If I'm getting something from Sephora, I go on, get it, get out.

They're decent for women who purse carry but when they're in riskier areas, they can swap quickly to on-their-person access. That's most of us too.

But daily all day carry, most carry via law enforcement methods. Inner or outer waistband. The gun is extremely secure for a reason.

  7. I've carried a time or two when I legally shouldn't have. I've left my permit in one wallet and forgot to swap it to a new one. I'll be damned if that stops me when I'm traveling late at night alone and I have to enter a convenience store. So I do understand you Ray. And I agree mostly.

But this guy hit an extremely hard limit with me. He carried in a way that his firearm was not secure. In a place that is surrounded by very young children. He couldn't have done any worse if he threw a gun into a kindergarten class full of kids.

His mistake wasnt to bring it into Disney. His mistake was not maintaining control over hs firearm in an extremely risky area. That is a huge deal.

Now I will say this. I have very few black and white areas in my life. Child safety is one of them. I'm rabidly fanatic about it. But IMO he should have hs license suspended.

We are checking out on the 31st as it stands right now.

  9. Marilyn, so far the ones that reserved, the 22nd.

Depending on our 10th grader, if she has finals we might be 23rd. But if she finishes her tests on the Friday before like she did this year, we'll be there on the 22nd and we'll skip the last day of school.nIt depends on her teachers, we won't know exactly until the weekend before Memorial Day. Basically when she walks in and announces she's tested and "done".

  10. Oooohhhhhh. My mistake then. I thought they were all large enough to fit since Lorna, Jen, etc were our approximate size.

That's why. We are 38 plus.

See that makes so much more sense than sorry, no.

I know back in sites aren't all the same. But figured pullthru's would be equal.
