Good to know..I've had mine not work several times, and they just had me put it through a couple of times and then wave me in. Never had to show ID. Just wondered, thanks for the input.

Has anyone given their AP to a relative or someone else to use, and what was their experience? I'm tempted to give my daughter my AP when she visits later this month. I know they are finger scanned, but that being said has anyone used someone else's AP and how did that turn out? :popo: Yeah, yeah, I know, cuff me now, assume the position and all that :siren: I know I've noticed that there are plenty of times I've seen passes that don't seem to register while going through the gates, and people put them through several times and then are waved through anyway.

If you're a regular visitor then it's worth considering the AP. We do it, but we generally stay in the resorts and find it's worth it for the discounts on the rooms alone. (although..room discounts are never promised as part of the AP purchase). We try to work it that we get two trips in by going a week earlier the following year. If we get a room discount out of it, then it ususally pays for itself. We had the Poly for $238.00 a night last year. That being said, no such luck yet this year. But who knows what might open up. Even though you don't get much of discount in the campground, I thin

Fort Wilderness Loops 101
Auntie replied to mouseketab.....Carol's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
This is good info to have, Thanks for posting it Carol. I wonder...does anyone have a picture of the campground map? I know I am not all that familiar with where one loop is located in relationship to a another or even the campground amenties. -

We haven't purchased anything from them but have stopped in to see what they have a couple of times. They also have a store, and we've purchased a couple of items we needed while on the way past. The sales staff didn't appear to be very high pressure. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. -
I don't think it helps that "spring break" for the school districts varies greatly this year. Pretty much of all April is going to be high..and the same goes with February, so many have Presidents week off. It does make you wonder though, as they are offering discounts for summer rates for the resorts...(although, they raised the prices for this year considerably first)..So, again you're not getting that same bang for your buck you were getting before if you waited for a discounted rate.

Sealing rubber roof on a 10 year old TT
Auntie replied to Auntie's topic in RV Repairs on the Road, at FW and Elsewhere
Well, it wasn't that bad that I would consider replacing the rubber roof. It was a bit "chalky" (if that's a word) that's all. No cracks or leaks, and we thought by rolling on the rubber roof stuff we had it would protect it. I figure we'll just peal off what's left. (which isn't much) and see what can be done come spring. Thanks for the input, and I'll look into the product previously mentioned. -
That really looks lovely. How romantic.

Never stayed there, but have gone in to take a look around. Don't especially care for. Seemed to me to cater to a more corporate crowd. Conventions and the like. Theme doesn't appeal to me at all. I like that area, and it's location to Epcot and the Studios, but would MUCH prefer to stay at the Beach Club vs. The Boardwalk. Oh..and the themed pool has a slide that is a HUGE clown head. It's pretty freaky. To me it appears the clown is puking out people. Kind of weird.

Sealing rubber roof on a 10 year old TT

Just gave it a quick rinse. Didn't look dirty, barely left the driveway all summer. Obviously it needed more. It was more or less a last minute idea, as we had day mid Oct. where it was over 60 and figured we'd roll it on real quick. Was fine between Oct. and Dec. Only it appears once the snow got on top of there...that was the end of it. With the wind yesterday..was really kind of funny, watching it peel off and blow off the roof. Oh well,... I guess we'll give it another shot come spring. -
Anyone ever use the paint on stuff on their rubber roof?...What were your results? We were noticing that our roof was looking a little dried out. We saw some of the white color coming down onto the blacktop of the driveway after a rain. Went to the dealership..they gave us some of this roll on rubber roof sealer. Um...well, it pealed off. :shh: I'm not sure what we did wrong there. Other than it was probably only around 60 degrees when it was applied, and then we didn't get a chance to cover the roof this year before we got hit with an earlier than expected snow. Pretty much there's been sno

Cape May is one of our long time favorites! In fact, we like to have dinner here, and then go into Epcot from the World Showcase entrance and catch Illuminations.

I think if you have bikes, you have nothing to worry about. :) Even when we stay the WL, we rent bikes and ride through FW. I really enjoy doing that. I'd take the bikes, and if you want...rent a cart from Disney for a day or so just for the experience. -
Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge

I know exactly what you mean. While we still enjoy it as a fast food type of option..it used to be WAY better. There was also a BBQ pulled pork sandwhich they featured. It was the same as what was served upstairs in the Whispering Canyon. That's long gone. We do enjoy taking our food outside to the terrace area, or even sitting poolside. Especially in the morning when it's still quiet. -
We did it quite a few years ago. We enjoyed it. The regular BBQ fare. Was pretty good. You sat family style at picnic tables. It's very casual, and you needn't be concerned with little ones getting out of their seats. Plenty of opportunity to dance around, as there was a country band. The characters even danced about with the diners. They had come out several times prior to that, and plenty of time was given to autographs and the like.

When is it you're thinking of going? We've also found that if we purchase an annual pass, we get some decent discounts on the rooms. Only one person in your party needs it to secure the room discount. While it is never guaranteed that this will be a perk, we have found that they usually run a decent Annual Passholder discount. If you plan your trip right, you can get two trips out of the pass as well. As it's good for an entire year. If you visit just a week earlier the following year, you're getting two visits and the room discounts with that one annual pass. As I mentioned we had a rate of

Have you thought of staying "Deluxe"?...I've got some room photos of the Polynesian :wave1: posted in this forum, and you can see by the size of the room they easily accomodate five. There are two queen beds in addition to the day bed. We've stayed there a few times. Never paid the rack rate. That's just ridiculous. As much as we love the resort..$400. 00 a night it is NOT worth. :dropjaw:. That being said, a discounted rate of $238.00, seemed pretty good. Not a whole lot more than rack rate at the moderates depending on the time of year. Of course you might also consider the cabins in FW f

Welcome! :rofl2: The more the merrier! :rofl2: -
Love the Poly  What I like most is that it's very laid back. If you want the Disney hoopla..it's there for you. If you don't, you can relax (especially if you hide out by the quiet pool) and enjoy. I believe it's one of the only Disney resorts that still has a deep end of the pool of over 8 feet. I might also add that with an AP rate, and the right time of year we didn't pay much more than the regular rate at the moderates. No way, would I pay $400 a night for any resort. We've been regular visitors to Disney World since '91. Never paid full rack rate for any resort. Sooo...I search

Does Royal Caribbean offer an adults only pool?... How do the rooms compare in size to those on the Disney ships?
-
I like the idea of the private island that Disney offers for the Bahama cruises? Do any of the other lines offer that? Also, if you are an "adult" family...meaning no one is under 18, will you be bombared with "screaming mee mees" as we fondly call the little ones, on the Disney cruise? I know they offer adult only pools..and an adult only area on the island..which sounds great. Do other cruise lines offer amenities similiar to that?
