seen this quite a few times passing thru the southern states...the only thing i can say is--i am a bit jealous. i sometimes wish it could be that easy for us. travel safe and i do hope your vehicle problems aren't bad. it always sucks to have issues on the road. can't wait for us to check in tomorrow.. :dance:

someone i worked with was going to have their golden ride in the tt. his wife said--i am going to ride back there first to see what it would be like. so, she did. she went back there and he started driving. well, she didn't take her cell phone with her and when he finally got home---she got out and said NEVER!!! she won't ever let the dog or anyone else ever ride in that.. Lol she couldn't call to tell him to stop--haha....

have a lot of fun, take lots of pictures and yes, we expect a trip report soon after you return home. :)

i'll have to check out that shampoo jen. benadryl can be used but, i know what that does to me and i can see how knocked out the pups get when i give it to them. so, i prefer not to give them that. the listerine really does give them relief and they are still their normal self.

something that works really good is Listerine. yup, the original yellow/gold listerine or it's generic equivalent. it doesn't keep it away for long but, it does give them a quick relief. not only does it stop the itchies but, if they have a scab from their nails-it heals it. i haven't found anything to cure the itching for a long time. but, i am looking..

tsi is a must even for us... it is just nice to be in a camping atmosphere in the middle of mk. lol love the lil' monster kids. those pics are awesome. thanks for the tr--you're doing great!

nice trip report, cherie. i hope you get to go out and spend more time in the west. some folks really hate rest areas---but, i know from experience that there are some really awesome ones out there. some of the views we have had some beautiful views at many rest areas we have slept in. hope you got plenty of rest and are ready for chat tonight. :)

glad to hear you made it and are safely tucked into your warm house with all the puppies sitting around you. you know what is so cool about dead wood -- yes, there is gambling but, there is more to it than that. i don't gamble and have a great time there... can't wait to see more pics.

i've done this. duke had some problems with his hip/leg. he wasn't using it and the leg was getting pretty thin. the vet was getting concerned but, we never found out what the problem was. i still think it is a muscle problem. we did some tests on him and the vet said i could exercise him but to watch him. he wouldn't use the leg when he thought about it. if there was a rabbit in the yard - he used it. so, i found a treadmill on line for about $15. they said the motor might be going-the guy couldn't run on it anymore. i wasn't sure if i should get it or not and he wanted it out of his

sorry you had a break down but, glad you had help right away and you guys are safe and sound. hopefully, the repairs won't cost too much. we had an alternator go on us one time in yellowstone-in our suburban. we were going back to our camp in yellowstone after spending the day in jackson hole. half way back it went. we got a room in the Tetons-all our tenting stuff was set up in yellowstone. drove back down to jackson hole in the morning and luckily within the day we had our alternator. but tools---well, that was another story. but, jeff changed it out and we were on the road soon. ho

Awesome! it is so pretty out there. and yes, it is a really, really, really long drive.... enjoy the travels in the morning and be safe!

cool--nice pics. we have the book the next exit. we don't travel without it and try to keep the tank above 1/2. you just never know if the station they say is there--is no longer. enjoying the tr. hopefully, the kids will behave better in the morning. they will just need a good breakfast... by the way, where are we heading for breakfast-i'm hungry!
