  1. It's a 2012- so still under warranty. I'm so in love with you guys right now.
  2. The quote is from the Honda dealer. I think it includes the brake & coolant adjustments & hitch. (it's obvious I have no idea what I'm talking about.) My next question was if RV dealers can also install that stuff for us?
  3. The dealer quoted us $1450 to make the van tow-worthy. Is that a decent price?
  4. Ok- after days of research (and fiend advice!) I've settled on shopping for a regular ol' PUP, and I'm more than OK with that.. :) So.... Oh my gosh!! Those ARE great! Thanks! I think I'm leaning toward the slide out dinette... But I can be swayed... Very solid advice, thanks! I know nothing of weight distribution hitches but will definitely ask. As far as salesmen are concerned- I may have mentioned that by older brother used to have an RV build/repair/sell biz- so he's been filling me with info too. Problem is, he's in FLA and we're in PA. I guess when we actually, physi
  5. According to my owners manual: Towing load limit: 3,200lbs (assuming 4 passengers @ 150lb each, with 15lbs of cargo each) And... after shopping online all day- I've fallen in love with this guy: http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2013-Skyline-BOBCAT-163B-100363421 It's about $10,000 over my budget.
  6. You can request a specific site? What site do you request & why? I'm wondering if it's too late for me to do so..
  7. Thanks for posting! I'm in for the Biergarten dining package & 6:45 show. :) I don't really know the narrator- but whatever.
  8. :thank-you-smiley3: This is good to know! Is there a "better" time than another to shop for a camper? I assume a lot of sales happen in winter? I guess it's a double edge sword as far as used/new? They both have issues! Thinking budget friendly, I think I'd like a used one. Then again- a used one may require work I wasn't expecting so.... I may have to have my brother come up for a visit to go shopping with me!
  9. Agreed, 10930808% !!!! Tim... now THAT'S what I call quality post!! Thanks so much!
  10. OH MY GOSH!! I just found this photo of the Gem before her final voyage!! My brother and me, before taking her to Farm Aid 7 years ago! Sadly, she took some water damage in Hurricane Charlie a couple years before this, and after this trip we determined she was no longer road safe. So she sits in my brother's back yard. He has every intention on fixer her up, but I'll believe it when I see it.
  11. Conveniently, we're passing Souderton next weekend on our way to pick up my son from camp. Perhaps we'll make a side trip.
  12. I was just about to do this... Thanks! I just discovered some glorious thing called "expandable". I had no idea such things existed. haha.. My Odyssey is new ('13) but I have no idea about the specs- gonna get the book out this afternoon. Thanks! This is almost as overwhelming as planning a Disney trip. :) I don't need a "bathroom" per se- but a toilet would be nice.. I can deal with an outside shower. I grew up camping in a '68(?) Gem slide-in with 5 people, so size isn't really an issue. Here she is- in her less than glory days..... Oh the memories!!!
  13. So Mr.41 has been really talking up the idea of getting a camper & I want to jump on this before he changes his mind! He seems to be dead set on a pop up as our "starter" camper, and I'm fine with that because we truly can't afford anything else. Well... to be REALLY honest, we can't even afford THAT. Also- I drive a Honda Odyssey so we have to be able to tow it with that because I don't see a truck in our near future.. Anyway... I want one with a toilet & AC and those are my only prerequisites. My brother had his own RV biz, and built & sold them & I'm sure he'll be
  14. You guys are the absolute best!! And like the total genius I am.... I just went & reserved the 4:20 time instead, which puts us into the 6:45 show which will give us more time between CP and Illuminations. Traveling with my Dad- I thought that would be best. He prefers "better safe than sorry" and this way if we WANT to use the preferred seating, we'll have much more time to get there, and if he wants to sit along the way somewhere- so be it! "Problem" solved! (for now  )
  15. So what you're saying is, we don't need to be in the preferred seating to see the show? (remember people, I'm a total noob and Epcot wasn't even OPEN last time I was there!) And if that's the case, can you recommend a place or two for us to view from coming out of the CP?
  16. Right now, I have both. The 4:35 CP and 5:55 ADR.
  17. Thanks... I just talked to ANOTHER CM and she said we'd be in the 8:15 show and it runs for an hour. Illuminations a starts at 9:30. Is 15min enough to go from the procession viewing to Illuminations? She did say that CP package people do have a reserved section at Illuminations but I'm wondering about lines to get in. ??
  18. ps~ AllEars narrator dates are also different from the dates posted on the disney site... so.....
  19. Thanks.. I just called & talked to a CM (blasphemer!) and now I'm confused about the timing... According to AllEars: "NOTE: There will be specific dining reservation times for each show as follows: for the 5 p.m. show reservation for dining must be between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.; for the 6:45 p.m. show dining must be between 3:30 and 4:15 p.m.; and for the 8:15 show dining must be between 4:20 and 5:45 p.m." But according to the CM, the 4:35 res will put us into the 6:45 show. But I think he prefaced this by saying something like "I believe that..blah, blah.." (He also had to look up t
