  1. My mocha coffee maker and my own toilet. I'll bath in the river... but I like my own toilet!
  2. Honestly, he gives us so many priceless moments......the best was the fight for the sandal. He laid on my husband's foot, removing the sandal, and it took 10-15 minutes for DH to get the sandal back. Drake would raise up just enough to entice DH to lean over, then Drake would flop back down..... I was almost crying I was laughing so hard.....I love that dog!
  3. treats...maybe bribe her to pay attention to you instead of the new arrivals... just a thought...
  4. Our heeler has bad carsickness. She can basically go about 5 minutes before we start to worry. We finally had to get her a pet taxi for the bed of the truck. The first trip I gave her medicine then realized the wind going through the crate and the ability to see were all she needed...but she still rides in the back... I hate vomit.
  5. TT, MH, or house unlevel... well Drake has the answer for you.... I swear he was this way when I walked in the room...
  6. At six weeks I start making lists, lists that I make my husband print out of the large index cards. That way as I pack I can check them off. this is about the same time I do route planning. About 4 weeks out I will start parking clothes that we don't use everyday (swimsuits, any dressy clothes). Two weeks out I start pulling clothes from the usual rotation and stocking up on the toiletries we need for the trip. One week out, my DH and I go through everything I have packed and he starts pulling out things I've over packed! This is when we do the trip grocery shopping and freeze the water
  7. The story I got was that when computer generated animation, Pixar, became the state of the art, they fired most of the conventional animators at WDW. There was no need for them. Even today, if Disney produces what appears to be the old style animation movie, it's done mostly with computers. The days of artists drawing and painting are gone as far as big budget full length animation movies are concerned. Computers are more efficient and produce a better visual product. In my profession, engineering, the exact same thing happened even earlier. It went from sitting at a drawing board with pencil
  8. we have never arrived late but if we did, I am sure the amusement others would find in our attempt to back 40' of fifth wheel into some of the Fort's sites would make up for noise. backing in wasn't our problem... fitting both the TT and the truck in the space while keeping the TT in a position where the slinky was still connected was (we were in the bottom of our loop where it curved sharply and we have rear bathroom with rear connections) Lucky us, we stayed at 719 last week, I was so happy that the 50amp cord was able to reach the plug i never noticed the sewer and TV connection were back
  9. Thanks all. Our next trip is going to include the dining plan again and I'm getting some wonderful ideas. FWrick, it looks like I got my terminology confused on the name. We tried to get into Liberty tree Tavern on our first trip but we made the plans less than 3 months out and I had to be creative with my reservations! By the way, reading this thread is making me hungry...... Ghester, All of them sound like fun. We have yet to see Illuminations so that would be a nice way to see it... just have to see who I can convince to go with us! Wish the Safari one could be at the Yak & Yeti as
  10. We stayed in the 300 at Christmas without a cart. We used our bikes for looping, buses to get to the outpost, and walked to the pool/trading posts/ and marina. It was very enjoyable.
  11. Before we leave for the trip, we cook and freeze a few meals for actual driving days. We take something out of the freezer and put in fridge to defrost the night before. It makes driving days easier.
  12. No, not lame at all. I loved touring the "fishbowl". I only got to do it once in the original version, where you got to actually watch the animators work. As I recall they were working on Beauty and the Beast and I remember thinking to myself how lame this film was going to be with teapots and candlesticks as main characters... lol, just shows I don't have the imagination it takes to be an animator since I think the end result was wonderful. Nowadays DHS is my least favorite park, even though I like ToT, RnRC, TS, LAM, F! and of course, Osborne Lights. The theming just seems pretty thin there,
  13. Blocking... blocking... singing what.... no idea what you are talking about....
  14. YOU are just not right... and I'm not reading it. lmao but your humming it All together now :rofl2: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. We hit TSM during EMH and still had a 45 minute wait. The fast pass wait line was 45 minutes as well. The only reason we went back was because our first trip was STAR WARS weekend..... need I say more. Some of the shows are good but it's just not my favorite park.....
  16. this is probably gonna sound lame but I miss the animation studios. There was something very cool about walking through while they were working on pictures or just painting the cells. I was very disappointed to find out they'd removed it. This may make me unpopular as well but the only thing I'd want to do over and over again at DHS is Toy Story Mania. I guess I'm just not that into movies. I don't think it's worth the ticket or park hoper price for just the one thing. I think on future trips we will rotate between AK and DHS thus cutting out one ticket every trip. Although, I wouldn't

  18. Gasp!! :rofl2: :rofl2: horrible thought..... forgive me oh wise one :)
  19. I just thought it might be good to have it under the loop forum. And I couldn't remember all the number designations.. thanks!
  20. Hi All, do we have a thread explaining which loop numbers are which type yet?
  21. I was scared on astro orbiter - its very high up there. The seatbelts arent very tight - I was hanging onto my kid so I wouldnt fall out. I don't think a single person who rode with us in the elevator wanted to do it again. Just not worth the time and it was really... bad.
  22. I don't know if anyone else has seen this yet. I got the following link in an email this morning. http://guide.disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/vacation-package-guide/?CMP=EMC-WDWFY11Q2MYWRelaunchDom0003 I played around with it a little. It let's a step by step walk through of planning your trip. Really good if you are a total newbie to WDW and don't plan on using a Travel Agent. One downside, I couldn't find the campsites at all.. the cabins yet... not the campsites. Just thought I'd share!
  23. I have motion sickness in the car.. but I can ride the Tea Cups. But most things in 3-D I can't watch...
