One thing we did was take some time to visit the other resort hotels to see their decorations. Spent a whole day on that. We also spent New Years Eve on Clementine Beach which was tons of fun.

We stayed Christmas 2013. We booked in August 2012. You have to book as far out as they allow which I believe is 499 days. It fills up really fast. As for the experience, it was wonderful. Disney knows how to do Christmas right!

I'm glad they are big enough for bulky items. Must have seen my pants. :o

One of the things we want to do during our June trip we want to spend some time exploring the boardwalk resorts. I have a few questions, though. 1. What resorts are collectively referred to as "boardwalk"? 2. I assume the best way to get there from the Fort is to take a bus to one of the parks and then take a bus to the starting resort? 3. I've heard there's a back entrance to Epcot. Do you have to be staying at the Swan and Dolphin to use it? 4. Any tips on what to see at these resorts?

I have the orange water bottle from Christmas 2013. I use it at work for drink water. One of those things that "gets me through the day". I was hoping they'd have a new one by the time I get there in June. Also, I really want that license plate frame. Getting that in June for sure.

Got a call from the new mechanic. Dealership mechanic failed to tighten a hose. That's all it was. That loose hose cost me at least $2500 on top of the $2600 I spent on the new egr cooler. sigh.....

Take a look at my previous Stuck in Houston thread here. We decided to leave the truck at another mechanic and we rent another vehicle to get down here. We then rented from Cruise America. We are in site 906. We can't pick up the RV until 2pm, so we're just sitting around waiting. I had to leave a lot of stuff in my fifth wheel in Houston including the threaded rods and zip ties needed to put my sign up. Anyone have any suggestions to hang my fiend sign with limited (none) tools? Stop by and see us.

Well, I had the dealership install the new EGR cooler and only got 10 miles down the road before something really let go. Coolant spewed all over my windshield and smoke began to pour out of the engine and all my air vents. Had it towed to another dealership were I will be trading it in Monday morning. We'll have to miss the first 2 days of our reservation. We're at an RV park in Houston for now.

Assuming the head gaskets weren't damaged, they should be done today. Hoping and praying right now. It's an expensive fix, but I had put aside some money for this. It won't affect my vacation as long as it gets done today.

Well my fellow fiends. My Ford 6.0 had the dreaded EGR cooler failure in Houston. We're at the dealership now. Hoping a praying that they can fix it today.

Sounds like I should switch my fast passes to Epcot then and just stay the whole day. While I'd likely prefer to stay at the trailer for NYE, it's just one of those things I'd like to experience once. If anyone with 11-12 year olds want to get together and make new friends, let me know. I have 2 boys 11 and 12.

I've read that you need to get to the parks early on new year's eve. How early is "early"? We have FP+ at magic kingdom but want to switch to Epcot or Hollywood Studios at around 5:00pm. Do we run the risk of not being able to get in? Also, any recommendations for Epcot vs. Hollywood Studios on New Years Eve?

We'll be there on the 21st. I'm brining a bunch of lights and stuff but have no idea what I'm going to do with them.

We made our reservations in August of last year for our December trip. We got the invitation emails earlier this week. However, I had already noticed the MB option in MDE prior to receiving the email.

I was just able to book a preferred site for Jan 1-3. There are still some open if anyone's looking. I really wanted a premium and will keep looking, but just letting everyone know.

Anyone know if they removed them permanently or just for the holiday?

Those options don't show up during my Christmas stay. Bummer.
