For fleas and ticks, we bath our dogs about once a month during the summer using Pert shampoo (or the Walmart generic).  I was skeptical when someone told me about it, but that has kept the fleas and ticks under control and kills the few ticks they do pick up.  Out on the farm in Kentucky we do have ticks, and this works for us.

We have done both.  One of our dogs does great in teh camper alone, but one is getting old and cries the whole time.  We hate to have him making noise and bothering others, so we have used both the old on-site and the "new" kennels.  We were pleased and impressed with the new folks.  Missed the old place, but the new place was very nice, and took good care of Scamper.  He seemed to enjoy being where he could see and hear other dogs, and did fine.

We love the EWP, but purely in memory of Lou's inolvment:  "Who cares?"

Aloe works well, but we have not found a prepared version that works well.  Been told it has to be "cold processed", whatever that means.

We keep an aloe plant in the kitchen window and clip off a small piece to squeeze juice from when needed.  Works much better than anything we have bought.

We love the Durango/Silverton/Mesa Verde area.  Lots to do, beautiful scenery, lots of history.  We tend to stay at the Alpen Rose campground between Durango and Silverton.  http://alpenroservpark.com/

The trian ride is spectacular in any season, but I recommend the train up and the bus back.  Air conditioning and soft seats are nice when you are tired from all day at the Silverton altitude.  There is a lot of info online for the Durango area. 

We have used Mild to Wild several times to book and plan day trips of rafting, jeeping, exploring.  They have always been well done and professional...and safe! https://mild2wildrafting.com/

I like to go in late June or Mid August, but that's mostly cause I don't like it too hot, and my wife hates to risk an early or late cold snap.  Any time is good.  Have fun wherever you end up!

so, does that indicate with all else being equal, (other drive train, non-motor mechanics etc.) two older diesel motor coachs about the same age but different mileages, the higher mileage might be the better bet?

We are beginning the search, no hurry, and came across two RVs of the same manufacture, different models, same age (1998), but one has 35k miles and one has 89k miles.  Sounds like I should be a little concerned about the lack of use of the lower mileage unit?

Probably won't buy either...too early in the search, but trying to ed-u-ma-kate myself!

We save the dryer lint and use it for fire starter in the fireplace.  Never thought about the softener sheets.

Most any of the Kentucky State Resort Parks.  There are several, and we have had good experiences at all of them we have visited.  They all have campgrounds as well as lodges which have rooms and good country meals.  Many of them are rustic, but are well run and friendly folks.   If I had to pick one, probably Carter Caves...small, quiet, remote, beautiful.

(I could be shameless and mention Singing Hills in Cave City, which my brother and his wife own and run...small, quiet, great stop over near Mammoth Cave, but that would be a biased report and so I won't do that!)  :facepalm:
