The real kicker is that the FW stop at the springs is right by the path to the shops, just on the other side of the loop the busses drive on, so you can't cross. You have to walk all the way down, then back.

Of course, because at the end of the day campers don't really count - we're just an add-on!

Sorry for the negative but at the end of the day the cynic in me always wins  - lol

We live in a society where people believe that rules are suggestions, and they can do as they please.  There is no such thing as common courtesy.  And pity the fool who tries to stop these jackwagons from being jackwagons.

I said for years that common courtesy is no longer common.

Actually I think common courtesy, like common sense, left the planet quite some time ago

  3. You can now buy your own personal pie or cake right at Trail's End take-out. When I asked they told me that the had apple, cherry and pecan pies.  I didn't ask about the cakes, sorry.  I'll do that next time.  But for now, here's what an $18 pecan pie looks like:

I guess that isn't bad for Disney prices.  Seems like 3 cupcakes would cost more than that, right?

I need to see that $35 cake though.

I'm sorry but $18 for a pie and $35 for a cake is beyond extreme - even for Disney where we are all being conditioned to accept for a whole lot more for a whole lot less - but holy *^*^*^ smoke!!!  It  had better have gold flakes sprinkled on it!

Thanks for the 11 new things at the Fort -

    Items introduced at 11:00am

    • Shrimp
    • Caesar Salad
    • Cole Slaw
    • Potato Salad
    • Mix Green Salad (with 3 dressings)

That could qualify it as a "lunch" buffet so perhaps they are using it as a combo offering, both breakfast and lunch buffet - then they have the excuse to justify the higher price.

It also cuts down on the work that has to be done in the kitchen since salads can be pulled from a central commissary so that helps reduce the staff required and keeps costs down.

Another double win for the accountants.

  5. Really sorry they are going to change the menu, we were there when it first opened and thought the food was excellent and a great change.  We appreciated getting something different from the regular "Disney" version of food that's usually lacking flavour/diversity/interest (I'm trying to be nice here as opposed to the language I'd like to use).

Just goes to reinforce what my hubby says "if we like it Disney gets rid of it"!!!  We must be a jinx;)

    dang!!!

  6. Just listened to an interview with a researcher from North Carolina,  Karen Eisenhauer, on the CBC, about how the Disney princesses have changes in their speaking parts over the years.

I can't find a link to the interview but here's the story in the Washington Post about it -

Now I know why I like Merida better then the Frozen sisters!!!
