Well now you can have one for every day of the week!
And for only around $100.00 ! - that's cheaper than a lot of the other stuff Disney has on offer.

I've always wanted my own tiara!

Rumors swirling that selfie sticks may soon be banned from the parks entirely...
http://theadultsideofdisney.com/rumor-selfie-sticks-to-be-banned-from-disney-parks-as-of-june-30/
Hip Hip Hooray!!!
That's worthy of a round of applause :bravo:

Thanks for this thread. I need to go buy gallons of water and really am sad that Disney charges $3.20 for it at the trading post. More sad that I could only buy 1 gallon of it because they don't have any that isn't cold.
Thoughts on the closest place to run to for 4 or 5 gallons of drinking water?
We alway grab four or five gallon jugs at Publix when we first arrive then every time we go for groceries we do the 30c per jug refill they offer. Works pretty good and keeps us in coffee!!!!

Interesting.
Those things are a long way from the parking lot and the main building.
But, it looks like they're building small parking lots close to the bungalows- you can see one on the east side of the drawing. It looks just big enough for use by those staying in the bungalows. They'll need their cars, as it's a haul to the bus stops from way out there.
TCD
Great first small parking lots - then they'll decide that they're selling/renting so well that they should be continued all the way around the lake. Then they can just run them into a "River Country" DVC and the plans we looked at a couple of years ago will be in full development!!
And of course now that there's more parking space over a Trail's end there's even more space for all the folks to park there!
Yikes

Well call me Grumpy - don't like it!
But your pictures are great TCD

I would greatly miss evening EMH. Nothing like MK at 2 am! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree - especially if it was a slightly cooler night - that really cleared people out fast and we could do a lot of the more popular rides - without the fast pass!!!
I'll miss that too.
I already miss the 3 hour EMH's, which allowed you to be in the MK until 3 am. There are still some occasional 3 am EMH nights, but it's not the same since the park is open until 1 am anyway.
Oh, and I miss the days when they used to issue wristbands and kick everyone else out of the park.
TCD
Those wristbands used to be so great - all you had to do was hold up your hand and walk through - no fooling around with a scanner that doesn't always work.
-
Well there goes that benefit of staying "on property".
-
"How is it that for 43 1/2 years that parking area has been adequate for the Fort, and it is just now that they have to rip out a bunch of the wilderness that was left for guests to enjoy to more than double it?
Idiots.
TCD"
Thank you for the pictures - that mess is just plain sad - I can think of a lot stronger words than "Idiots" but I can't use them on a public page!!! -
"Ballooning costs have not slowed the mouse-eared masses flooding into the world’s busiest theme park. Disney’s main attraction hosted a record 19 million visitors last year, a number nearly as large as the population of New York state."
Wasn't it Barnum and Bailey who said there's one born every minutes?
“Every child feels like they’re entitled to a Disney vacation, and I think they’ve played off that, letting the emotions lay in until the family says to do it. They’re recognizing they can capture demand across the price curve. So why not take advantage of what people are willing to pay?”
And that's how they get everyone of us - our emotions.
"Parks now offer a variety of special upgrades aimed at the vacationing 1 percent, including after-hours parties, dine-with-princess events and guided tours such as SeaWorld Orlando’s “Private Elite VIP tour,” which bumps buyers to the fronts of lines and allows them to feed dolphins, sea lions and rays."
And when are they going to realize that it's the 99% who will come back, again and again, while the 1% will be looking for a newer, greater, more impressive experience?
"But that hasn’t stopped some Disney lovers from mourning a time when the magic of parks like Disneyland, the “happiest place on Earth,” was something nearly everyone could enjoy."
And that's us - Disney lovers in mourning.
Love the Mouse, hate the Mouse
Great article, thank you for finding it

That looks like a fascinating restaurant - and I loved the shape of that soup bowl!
-
And here they are called Tim Bits or Robins Eggs depending on which donut chain shop we're in
-
I pack 2 pairs of flip flops - one for casual, one for dress.
Ok, they're both exactly the same just different colors. :rofl2:
Well I happen to like Gelato, but I'm pretty sure there is nothing in my closet that could be considered chi, much less chi chi. :smug:
Since I don't think my shorts/t-shirts and sandals even qualify as chi I could never hope to aspire to full on chi chi

We lucked out last October and the artist was at DTD, so we now have one that's autographed :)
Us too - I love it.

A song is running through my head -
"Don't it always seem to go
you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone
Pave Paradise
Put up a parking lot"

"We went back into H&H and bellied up to the bar. They had live music on this night, which was a Friday, so that was a nice touch. We checked out the full dessert menu and settled on two."
We frequently belly up to the bar when we travel - in most hotels you can get most of the same food they serve in the restaurants, it's usually quicker (therefore hot) and frequently cheaper. Often all we really want at the end of a day is a really good soup and maybe one or two light appetizers as opposed to a full meal.
Not to mention there's often music, or even a bartender who can tell you what going on around the area. Very useful in non-English speaking countries.
Congratulations on your 20th - we're celebrating 46 this weekend.

"I saw a lot of RV's in the Disneyland Paris parking lot, and word is that they let guests overnight there." -
So now I'm thinking I need to investigate renting a small caravan like they have in New Zealand and Australia to tour Europe in - then I could go and stay at Disney.
Although those cabins look absolutely charming. :)
Sorry but you seriously need to stop doing your day job and just write this trip report - we're all dying for more!!!!!!!

A Campground at Disney Paris? Who knew?

It appears that MagicBands will not be added to the park anytime soon. According to Mary Niven, vice president for Disneyland Park, the wristband which uses microchip technology to let guests use the bands in place of theme park tickets, hotel room keys and even credit cards won’t work for Disneyland. She said that with many of the visitors being local residents who do not stay for long periods at the nearby hotels and that it just doesn’t suit Disneyland’s guest demographics.
Lucky Disneyland!

Oh she is darling

So sorry you had your pocket picked - that's brutal.
But on the plus side that room from your hotel is stunning.
And BTW thoroughly enjoying your trip report.
