There's also one on 192 near the Applebee's and Orlando Ale House.  Just check your insurance for coverage of urgent care versus emergency.  We used the Centracare on 192 one time when my wife hurt her shoulder and our doctor wasn't open.  They were good, but expensive.  But I suppose you pay for rapid access without appointment.  nice facility and staff.

We've used this a couple of times as well and they are excellent; escpecially for Canadians it's nice to have something so close and not have to hunt around.

Both times we found the cost pretty reasonable, less than $200, and they provided a detailed receipt so we could file a claim once we got home.

Just sensationalism. Yes Disney knew, we all knew. It's Florida, there is water, there are going to be gators. Disney did their best to relocate what they could. You can't catch them all, and idiot guests feed the darn things, whadya do?

    I agree, sensationalism.

When we first started going to Florida one of the first things we were told by the Floridians we met was if "there is water, there are going to be 'gators".  Everyone said, if you can't see to the clear bottom of where you're swimming assume 'gators.  It just goes with the territory.  Kind of like scuba diving - if you're in the ocean there will likely be sharks somewhere, or baraccuda - either way don't be stupid and go looking for trouble.

And I agree "idiot guests feed the darn things".  Silly twits!

  3. We've done a number of the tours over the years as our "special" treat.  We prefer them to the various "parties" since they are so much more interesting and infromative.

We've done the Keys to the Kingdom at MK - it was very good - the guide was excellent.

Did the Beheind the Seeds tour at Epcot - enjoyed it very much - fascinating to see the technolgies they are using.

Did a tour once during Garden Festival that took us through all of Epcot very early in the morning to see all the planning and planting that went into the Festival and how they designed everything and watered etc.  That was amazing if you've always wanted to know what goes into it -  and so much fun to be in the World Showcase without anyone else.

Have done Dive Epoct three times and it is always a real pleasure.  So much fun to peak into the restaurant windows.  And if you're a diver it's probably one of the easiest dives you'll ever do.

Also did the Back Tour (forget what they actually call it) at Animal Kingdom.  It was an entire day and included lunch looking out across the Africa Savanah.  It was very good, DH especially liked the part walking across the swinging bridges.

Althought the tours are expensive we get the DVC discount so that helps - but they really are interesting and if it's a smaller group you get to ask a lot of the questions that always make us curious.

We've never been disappointed in the tours and only had on that was a bit "off" but that was because one of the guests was really obnoxious with the guide and seemed to be trying to get a date with her asking a lot of questions and personal information about her.  Everyone else just worked to kind of freeze him into the back row so he eventually shut up.

Haven't really ever had one that was boring so we really recommend them.

Even though they're saying space is limited, it's interesting to me that there is enough available inventory on such short notice to be able to offer the entire Christmas week as an option.

I wonder if the Fort Wilderness Cabins are being offered as part of this deal- it says that the Copper Creek Cabins are excluded, but nothing about the Fort Wilderness Cabins, which do show up as moderate resort rooms.

I am not going to take the time to try and crunch numbers on this, but I'm pretty sure that this isn't a good deal for anybody but Disney.

I agree with you it is veeerrry interesting that there is available inventory since more than one person I know has tried to just add a couple of days to existing reservations in that time period.

I am also veeeerrrryyyyy sure - in fact down right positive -  that it will be an exceptionally good deal for Disney because it always is!!;)

i love our dogs but they don't travel with us.   Yes ours whines when we leave. They act like it's the end of the world. But one minute later they are on the couch sleeping.  And I have the security cameras to prove it.  Lol!

Us too - we loved our pet and for 8 years she acted like the world was coming to an end when she even saw the suitcases come out - but she adored the local kid who came in 3 and 4 times a day to walk, feed and play with her - who would take her home with him and sometimes to school for the whole class to play with.

She hated car travel so would have been miserable in the van all the way to the Fort and back.  We were fortunate enough to be able to have a wonderful arrangement that kept her right here at home up until she was no more.  We could go away for weeks at a time knowing she was safe, well cared for and happy.

IMHO I don't agree with the way people's pets get dragged everywhere from Costco to Home Depot, to the local mall.

I also think this is going to open a whole can of worms that Disney will regret.

Again, it's only my thoughts, but I think the only animals that should be allowed, hotels or parks, are the genuine service animals that do provide mobilitly and other services to their owners.  They are a real blessing and should probably be allowed WITHOUT CHARGE.

On the other hand the "poochies"  (love that word) like the set of large white poodles with dyed fur we see at MK occasionaly need to be left home.  I really do not believe they are particularily happy dealing with the crowds and noises when they are out.  And I suspect that they are there more to satisfy the egos of their owner.

Sorry if I offended anyone - again it's just my thought.

  6. I think it's unfortunate that Fort guests can't use the gym at WL any more.  It was always nice for the folks who stayed for a month or so in the winter to go and use the equipment.  We had a gentleman near us one year who was using the gym for his rehabilitation from surgery and he said at the time if he hadn't known he could do that he wouldn't have been able to come down that year.

I guess it's just another sign that campers don't count for much in the overall Disney scheme of things.  It's too bad, but not surprising.

When will the blasphemy end? Not everything in WDW needs a tie in to their movies.

As long as the Disney Bean Counters think there is even one thin dime to be made by having any kind of link to anything else, movie, tv show, whatever;  there will be a tie in.  It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$ now.

    Very cool - thanks!!

Yeah we figured this would be a fun "couple of drinks + apps and call it dinner" place for us.

Drinks at Disney can definitely blow your budget!

That's what we did - drinks and an app - hubby had the Parlour Trick and I had the Magic Mirror, with an order of the fries -  and yes expensive but quite fun to watch the animations that happen inside the bar.  Unfortunately we were there right at 5 and we decided that it would be better after dark if there wasn't so much light coming in from outside.  Still fun though.

But, as with many things Disney once at that price was enough!  LOL - much like Trader Sam's, one's wallet can only take so many hits!

Our family feels the same way with our oldest daughters TV watching.

Anything she likes gets the ax fairly quick! So if she enjoys it we don't get used to watching it.

I'm going to go with the statement that there are some of us; your oldest daughter included, who have excellent, very discrimating taste.

The problem is NOT with us, but with the rest of the world.

And that's going to be my storey going forward!
