For our first camping trips, we ended up making runs to Publix for sub lunches or went out to eat at a local place. I would LOVE to hear what are your kids fav camping meals. We will be embarking on our first "all camping" experience (meaning fixing our own meals at the T/T) in 3 weeks. I have a 4yo and 2yo. So what's your favorite??

Did you know that Michael's Crafts had a set of brown battery operated lights to use with grapevine wreaths? When I realized this, I knew I had to do this wreath! This was so easy to put together: One 12 inch GV wreath, 2 6-inch wreaths, floral wire, lights and your favorite ribbon. Used black, red, yellow and white (hmmm, sound familiar?) My youngest loves it so much, she has it hanging on her door to her room :). Lit up, of course, when she is going to sleep. It's not the largest, but a good place to start. I think I am going to do another one, but larger. I think they have an 18 inch w

I was hoping that it would have been scrubbed, giving me another day to get back to FL to see the launch! We're on the last day of our family vacation/reunion on the Alabama gulf coast, and had this trip planned before the schedule was posted. Oh well....guess I wasn't meant to see it. I'll relive it via pictures and streaming videos!

Snacks for the kids at the parks
OrangeBlossomMama replied to MLM5.. aka Judy's topic in Camping for Kids
We also make our own trail mix, with my girls' favorite treats (dried fruit, PF goldfish, etc). I also second placing everything in snack size bags. Makes life easy to pass them out and everybody has their own. At least in our case. My girls are at their "MINE!" stage and not a big fan of sharing. We'll also take mandarin oranges in the cups, grapes, apples and pretty much any fruit. And cheese sticks. Oh goodness, we can't live without the cheese sticks! -

Dry ice typically lasts only a day unless you have a large amt (more than 10 lbs). You can also get dry ice at Publix when you get to the Fort. Best bet would be to use the refreeze blocks, or frozen bottles of water and let them thaw. -

I have seen this and it looks like alot of fun. We were considering this for our DD's birthday, since we live locally. Have you seen the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party at the MK? Dessert buffet and prime fireworks view spot. Just another thought. -
At the risk of a major Hijack - Cloth diapers
OrangeBlossomMama replied to Just Whipperwhirl's topic in Camping for Kids
I have used Gdiapers, before they had the cloth insert. They had the inserts that you could flush. I had a hard time finding the inserts locally and DH wasn't a fan of the Gdiaper. I have also used other CDs as well. Sorry that I couldn't be much help..... -
Online Check In
OrangeBlossomMama replied to PrincessNana's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
They had a designated lane for Online Check-In when we came a few weeks ago. Technically we didn't do the online process, but might as well have. We called at 2pm and pulled into FW at 4pm. Since we had to pay for the night when we booked, we were all paid up. The CM flagged us to use the Online Check In lane, and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes as well. I'll def use the online check in again when we go back in a few weeks. Just saves time (and sometimes my sanity when it comes to fussy kids in the backseat of the truck) -
SPRING MICKEY DOOR WREATH
OrangeBlossomMama replied to mreyes1430's topic in Crafting: Camping and beyond
Thanks for sharing! I think I am going to get my lil ones to help me make a similar wreath in red, white and blue for 4th of July (and use it for Memorial, Flag, and Veterans Day, too) -
Wolfgang Pucks Express at Disney Marketplace
OrangeBlossomMama replied to Live4FW's topic in Dining Reviews and Information
Sorry to add so late--just joined the board. This is our "to-go-to" place at DTD. I agree, FWGuy, I didn't think I would like it (I'm kinda picky), but it's really the only place I prefer to eat at both MP and WS. DH and I would sometimes split a oven-fired pizza for a snack. And my kids love their pizzas, pastas and chicken fingers there. Nice portion sizes and decent prices, for Disney at least. The longest we had to wait was 15 mins and that was just to order. Y'all are making me hungry....I have to Orlando airport tomorrow to pick up some family...I think we might be having lunch at -

Babycakes At Downtown Disney
OrangeBlossomMama replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Dining Reviews and Information
I will second Babycakes. A cousin visiting from AL specifically wanted to find Babycakes b/c she is on a GF diet. My girls saw the cupcakes and had to have one. And we ended up with four of them. If you are at DTD, you need to try one! MMmmmm! -
FF Dream Cruise Tips - Decorating Door and Cabin
OrangeBlossomMama replied to MandMandMandMandM's topic in Cruises
I had no idea about door decorations! This is very cool idea! We're going on the Dream in 2012 for an anniversary cruise so we will most certainly have to do this. This is so up my alley its not even funny! -
How would you handle this ticket problem?
OrangeBlossomMama replied to Kazlac4's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Stop by Guest Relations, and not the ticket windows at the TTC. GR CMs are able to 'override' ticket situations. I would hate for you to stop by the TTC TW then have to wait a the GR window. Good luck! The only thing you can do is try!
