From the Orlando Sentinel...

Festival of the Masters, the long-running open-air art show at Downtown Disney, will not be held this year, a Disney spokesman said Wednesday.

Construction tied to the complex's retheming into an area called Disney Springs is making space tight in the area, not large enough for the art show, he said.

Last year, the festival attracted more than 300 artists working in paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass and more. The 2014 edition would have been the 39th edition of Festival of the Masters, which typically is held in early November.

Artists have been notified, and all application fees will be refunded, Disney says.

The Disney Springs project, scheduled to be complete in 2016, will result in more shopping and eating outlets plus two parking garages, which are currently under construction.

Oh no, how am I going to skip it again this year if they're not having it?

And all the lovely traffic it brings in.

 Oh, wait!

Buena Vista Drive is a mess anyway because of the construction, can you imagine trying to get around DTD with the Art show traffic too?

You should be featured!

Kelly has a good point!
