Cortezcapt (Derek) 156
We have not stayed in a cabin in probably 20yrs. Just book a cabin for 2 nights for some friends of ours who will be coming up for the beginning of our December trip. We will hopefully be in the 500 loop and only bringing one cart up, friends in cabins will be bringing bikes with them. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for the cabins, it will be friends first time at the Fort.

Memphis 105
You could request 2100 loop to be closer to you. I would also ask them to note your location on the resi and ask to be as close as possible. (If thats what you want of course) They might get lucky and get a cabin in the 100 loop (long shot) but you never know.
Travisma 1,317
They will have a blast. Have them look at the Fort map and see where things are laid out. If they get a very low or a very high number cabin, they are usually closer to the loop entrances (but you will be closer to the busses). I think the map states the loop # range. If they plan on cooking then bring a crock pot, coffee, filters, etc. It's easy to get from the cabins on a bike, especially if they cut through the 2100 to 1100 path. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
There is some helpful information here: http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/5554-fw-cabins/?hl=%2Bcabin+%2Brentals#entry132653 and here: http://www.fortfiends.net/_/accomodations/cabins/cabins-overview-r93 Have a great time!! :) Good job, Nacole. Those two threads cover things pretty well. Derek- as others have said, and as stated in those two threads, if you want to be close to your friends, you could request a premium site in 1100, and they could request a cabin in 2100. There are a few sites and cabins where you could be back to back. TCD
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Also if they have a fairly large crew and want easy access to a comfort station, Loop 2100 is the one to request. http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/5614-stayin-in-a-cabin-want-a-comfort-station-nearby-2100-loop/
