Quote Wed, March 23, 2016 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Spooks Walt Disney World Guests 29 Nights This Fall by Charles Stovall, Public Relations Manager When I say “Boo-To-You,” regular readers of the Disney Parks Blog know that means only one thing – it’s time to start looking toward fall and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I’m excited to give you an update on this year’s Halloween party including dates – which have more than ever. Guests wanting to get their “Halloween On” at the Magic Kingdom have 29 nights this year to do it, with one of the most popular special events at Walt Disney World. Guests trick-or-treat throughout the park, discovering all the boo-tiful ways that the spirits of the season have transformed the park into a happy haunted hallows…that includes seeing many favorite Disney Characters dressed in their very own Halloween costumes. Guests also enjoy special entertainment including a spook-tastic parade and eerie extravaganza of fireworks. Returning Guest favorites include “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade,” “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” and “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks. Here is the full list of this year’s dates: September – 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 30 October – 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31 New this year, we have revised our costuming guidelines for special events in our theme parks. While costumed attire may be worn, guests ages 14 and older are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body as they may be subject to additional security screening. Additionally, costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. While costumed attire may be worn, guests ages 14 and older are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body as they may be subject to additional security screening. Additionally, costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. They didn't mention masks though. I'm not a tech person (at all), but I often find myself thinking that Disney's website (and phone system) need tweaking. It's not uncommon to try and get info on their website, only to hit a dead-end and I've called into WDW before and the number on the website instructed me to call, went to a different division altogether. But want to spend a couple of weeks in Orlando in October. And I'm already driving back and forth a few times this summer. She's been lobbying me to drive south and then fly back for the wedding. Part of my issue is the expense side of things. Flying is ~$700 for my family of 4 plus that's right in the middle of a Fort stay, so there's an expensive campsite that we'd have to deal with. :) And then staying up there... 2 words: in-laws. LOL, you guys are cracking me up. I talked to THE MAN about piecing me together a reservation for the week after the wedding. In addition to your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket, $69 for adults and $39 for children gets you into a reserved viewing location for Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and a dessert party viewing of Happy HalloWishes. The dessert party includes Halloween-themed cupcakes and desserts, like chocolate-dipped strawberries, chocolate mousse, ice cream, cheeses and fresh, seasonal fruits. Drinks include sparkling cider, signature lemonades, specialty Halloween drinks, hot chocolate, coffee or tea. The package will be available on the following dates: September 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29 and 30 October 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31 Tickets are available online now. Guests who have purchased the Happy HalloWishes Dessert Premium Package may check in from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Will Call booth outside the Magic Kingdom park Main Entrance, where they will receive a credential for identification.
