Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Geez- I just got a Passholder Newsletter via email today and nothing about party tickets going on sale. That pricing seems really aggressive. If it's true, they will be breaking the $100 barrier. Too rich for my blood. But, there will be nights that sell out. So, what do I know? Well, what do you know? You da man! I wonder if this is only for AP holders? On other stuff (e.g. the Run Disney races), they have presales for Passholders, but everyone can jump in. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
This is no longer a rumor, and it's not limited to Passholders- the Disney Parks Blog just posted that tickets are on sale for both parties. And, there are some nights that will cost more than $100. I don't recall the Christmas Party tickets ever being sold this early in the year. They must need the cash now: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2016/05/get-your-tickets-now-for-holiday-special-events-at-magic-kingdom-park/ TCD
Beckers 1,136
I think they officially priced me out of going. For what it would cost, we could add a park day and stay an extra night (and it would probably come out cheaper).
Beckers 1,136
Here's the math. 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 7) for us to go to the party on 10/11 it would cost $377.02 for the 4 of us. If we already had a trip staying at All star sports and had a 5 day pass, to stay an extra 2 nights and change the tickets to 7 days it would cost $373.12.
Beckers 1,136
Or to add 1 night and extend from 5 to 6 day tickets, it would cost $186.56, which is $190.46 less than the party. Even after buying food for the day (assuming you did counter service), it's still less than the party.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
The prices have me debating for sure. We loved it last year, but.... I might give Z the final say.

There's no way one night at a party is worth more than two additional days at WDW. The prices for these parties have been creeping up every year. It will be interesting to see if sales slow down. Very aggressive pricing on Disney's part. But that's consistent with what they've been doing this year, so no surprise there. TCD
swimmarz 72
I did the math, for us to go haloween night and do the desert party for a family of 4 is $737, for just $90 more I can buy/ renew 2 silver annual passes vs 1 night in the park $105 x4 = $420 $69 x4= $276 Add in 6% sales tax and there you have it folks! Ill be staying in the fort on Halloween and not going to the park
Helmsey......Todd 134
We experienced it for the first time last year (just to check it off our list) and had a good time. But, with a now 4 year old and 5 year old that have a hard time staying up that late and being decent little people the following day there is no way will we do it for a while. Add the prices on top of that and any inclination I had of doing it again now is gone. Don't get me wrong, we had a good time last year and both girls had a blast. But, last trip we only had to pay for 1 kiddo so the price was a little easier to swallow considering we left after the Boo To You parade.
