Today my daughter turned 27. She has been through a lot in those 27 years, but thankfully she is stabilized, is now in a job she enjoys helping other mentally disabled adults who are not as fortunate as she is, and is applying for a training program to become a peer mentor. FWGirl and I are very proud of what she has accomplished. I cannot imagine what a struggle it has been for her. I know what a struggle it has been for us.
