I really like Trails End (the restaurant).  It is a buffet for breakfast and dinner, and they feature a menu for lunch.  The take out pizza is similar to a frozen rising crust pizza IMO, but the fried chicken is really good and a good deal.  They also have some take out breakfast items that are pretty good.  Also, if the snack bar at the Meadows pool is open they have some good lunch options, especially the Southern Smothered hot dog.

Love the fried chicken (buffet or take out - same thing) the pizza is....ok.  Ask for it "well done" and it helps.  8)

Takeout wings are decent, but I find the nachos are pretty blah.

Lunch at Trails End (dine in) includes some pretty tasty offerings.  We've tried the burger and the oyster po boy and both were very good.

Breakfast buffet has some good choices - don't skip the cinnamon pecan rolls.

For us, it doesn't make sense to do the dinner buffet because they family size chicken meal is way cheaper, and we can't finish it. It's less than $24 and will easily feed a family of 4. We really like their breakfast, but have never eaten lunch there. The pizza tastes like Digorno's (or however you spell it). It's not terrible, but not great.

The waffles over at the Wilderness Lodge's Roaring Fork are superb too. I can never decide which of the waffle varieties I like best so end up getting one of each when we eat there...

I enjoyed their pizza. We ordered one and ate it on the porch while my husband and my youngest daughter played checkers...Of course, after a full day at MK, a beer, and relaxing in one of the rocking chairs...I was a happy girl....some frozen pizza that I didn't have to cook made it even better!
